  • While on a trip for her niece's wedding, Aunt Bea drops in to visit her old friend Gomer and immediately decides to bring small town sensibilities to the Marine Corp.

The way Jim Nabor's face lights up when he sees Aunt Bea shows pure joy and happiness. While Gomer loves the marine Corps, its clear there's still a big part of his heart back in Mayberry.

Francis Bavier is very funny and believable as Bea, who can't just sit back and watch Gomer clean the barracks...she's GOT to lend a hand. Frank Sutton is very funny trying to hold in his rage when he finds this sweet old lady in Marines fatigues cleaning the barracks only to explode as soon as he gets alone with Gomer. A great way to open the season!moreless
