Can a fussy French fricassee fit a modern American lifestyle? Sure. All it takes is a chicken, a couple bottles of wine and a little know-how. The fussy French part is purely optional. Recipes featured in this episode: Coq au Vin.moreless
  • Great Show, horrible recipe!

So maybe I am not the best cook in the world. But I have to say that I get my fair share of A+ reviews from family and friends. I am also not at all an expert on French Foods. Having said that... I have to tell you that if you want to spend a lot of time and effort on a recipe... don't do this one. My husband was away overnight for business, I thought I would surprise him with a wonderful dinner. I went to the store and got EVERYTHING this recipe calls for, I spent a lot of time doing EVERYHTING just like the show told me to. However this isn't a taste for everyone. You may like this... but me and my family did not! Altons show is GREAT! I LOVE IT! But this recipe gets a thumbs down from me.moreless
