Is it just me has has AB's hair been a bit unkempt in the last few shows? Anyone know the story behind this?

Put simply, he's getting older, and I'm quite sure he's tired of grooming himself to perfection for every show. Recent episodes might clash with less formal appearances, i.e., we see Alton appear on The Next Food Network Star looking, well, quite bald, and quite bristly. The magic of camera effects, a big shave, and a great makeup artist are the only things keeping us from seeing this all the time

He's slowly becoming more and more of a mad scientist, and his hair is simply reflecting that change.

I've noticed that over the years he has been loosing his hair at a rapid rate and I've also noticed that almost as quickly as he lost it he replaced it with what look like hair plugs, but I'm not completely sure. I love the unkempt look about his hair. It's what makes Alton Brown, Alton Brown!
