A group of Trappist monks in Arkansas now earn their living from making fruit cakes. They used to make concrete blocks.
An Italian legend says fruitcake was created by a nun at the urging of the devil in the form of a black cat.
This episode is included in the Holiday Treats (Volume 1) DVD.
Sending the Ginsu knives to Emeril, and say they're from the Iron Chefs
A three-in-one special. Ginsu knives are (usually) cheap knives sold via infomercial - not the kind of thing a real chef would use. Alton is clearly planning a practical joke by sending some of this cheap cutlery to celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse, and pretending they actually came from the stars of Iron Chef to stir up trouble!
It's A Wonderful Cake
The title is a reference to the Christmas time favorite movie It's A Wonderful Life.
