  • In this episode Alton Brown shows how easy Thai cooking can be even though there may be a lot of ingredients involved in a single simple dish. He breaks it down so that even a novice cook can follow along. Just remember: Plan, shop, prep, prepare, enjoy.moreless

I was lucky that I caught this particular episode by accident. Thai cooking is an area that I have not ventured into, although I've read many recipes. After seeing this I plan on trying my hand at making some. Alton Brown always breaks his dishes down in several areas. He shows you what I call the Scientific side as well as the culinary. That's one reason I love this show. But I thoroughly appreciated the way he started off with the 3 lists/categories of ingredients for this particular dish. I am familiar with Asian specialty stores but I am still learning and to be be able to see him not only purchase, but explain the particulars was a huge help. I also gained a new respect for tofu because it looked scrumptious in this particular dish. I got the recipes and I will add this to my list of up-coming meals. Thumbs Up to Thai!moreless
