  • I'd say it's easily the 3rd or 4th best DC show

It's actually really increased since the first season. I like this show because it's actually funny and most of the characters are likeable (besides that tool Spencer and that moron Gabe). Sometimes the mom gets on my nerves with all her I-can-act-good crap. I also hate it when they say or do stupid fart jokes like "butt-chip" or "corn-butt" really? In real life, that's not what teenage guys use the word butt for, let alone actually using the world butt. Besides that it's a great show.
  • Great show

This show is a great show full of great plots and touching moments. My favorite character would have to be Gabe. He lives life to the fullest, and he enjoys amusement parks, and video games. My second favorite character is Teddy because of the abundant technology she uses. I also love her friend, Ivy, and their unique best friendship that makes them different from other best friends. I like P.J. because he is very adventurous. Charlie is so adorable, and it is so sweet to me that Teddy is making video diaries for her. The parents, Amy and Bob live very interesting lives and often are left having to deal with the kids. I think this show is great, and the plots are so interesting, I sometimes can't wait to see what happens next. I am looking forward to the new episodes that await me in the coming weeks.
  • Meh... another lousy family sitcom

This show did not move me in the least. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't good either.

It was just dumb, boring and generic.

    And the excessive laugh tracks...

Seriously, it gets monotonous and pathetic after awhile how many times they use it.

This is why we need to have live audiences brought back again. It would force these lazy and greedy writers to have to come up with good jokes instead of asinine one liners that a 5 year old would think of.
  • Finally a Disney show that great!

  • An actual Disney sitcom with no stupid drama, no bad premise, and no stupid or annoying characters? I must be dreaming.

It's about time Disney got a good live action show going. After stupid sitcoms like a wizard family, a pop star trying yo lead a normal life, living at the White House, a dancing show with bad dancing, and a show that is an All That wannabe, we are finally given a great sitcom. Good Luck Charlie centers around a family named the Duncans, and they have a new baby in the family. However the parents are busy constantly and the kids, Teddy, Gabe, and P.J. have to take care of the baby, Charlie. I like how the show's premise is actually really good, and it's a show that kids and adults can appeal to. The acting is really good. All of the members give plenty of effort, no one overacts or underacts, and they all give the right expressions and feelings at the right time. The characters themselves are really good, and have plenty of personality and depth to all of them. No one is just generic or anything like that, but there is actual story to them all. The stories are really good and even though some are rehashes there is new material added to the mix, and some of the stories are actually original and very creative. There is also plenty of humor in this show that while most of it seems to appeal to kids, it can also appeal to older audiences as well. Even the laugh track knows when there's a funny moment in this show. This is an actual good Disney sitcom, and there is real effort put into this show. No stupid drama, no bad plots, no unfunny moments, and no bad premise. It's a real good show, and by far the best non cartoon on Disney right now. I hope this show will continue to prosper, and not be canceled so soon. Maybe Disney can continue shows like this, because this is a show that rivals Even Stevens in terms of greatness, and if you haven't seen it yet check it out.

this is a pretty good show. i think its better than some of the garbage on disney. this is not one of my last resorts when im watching t.v. though if i see something better on i'll pick it.

Now Disney channel was actually getting good untill shows like this and Shake it up came. But the good things about this show is Teddy, Gabe, Charlie and PJ, and the parents can get annoying sometimes. Now the good characters that are not main are Ivy and Mrs. Dabney, all the other characters are annoying. Now some people say this show is the best show on Disney channel but i dont think so, so far nothing beats the original Wizards of Waverly place. Now probably the worst things about the show is the video diary scenes, their not funny and stuff we've heard a thousand times. but this show was worst back then like Season 1 was terrible but it got better but its still medicore. Probably the funniest character is either PJ or Charlie. overall 5.5/10.
  • A good show but not the best disney channel show i've ever seen.

A good show but not the best Disney Channel show. I think this as an unique show. and Charlie is an unique name for a girl. I thought the first episode was pretty funny though. From them on this show has been Marvelous! Overall a good Disney Channel Show.

  • This show is boring, predictable, "over acted" comedy. A truely good/funny show doesn't need the laugh track every 5 seconds to let you know its funny, thats what the actors are suppose be for. The cast is good looking, so that makes up for lack in substa

nce. But then again, how much substance can a show that is centered after a newborn baby and the changes her arrival has inflicted onto her family members; hence the title "Good Luck Charlie"; have anyway, especially when the actual character Charlie is a baby/toddler actor who truely can't act nor deliver lines? Sometimes the show gets extremely corny, or makes edgy jokes that good be scene as borderline offensive to some. This show does not hold a candle to the quality shows back in the day had like"Full House".

  • Disney isn't even trying anymore

    1.0
    "Abysmal"
As with most young-people programming today, this show is nothing to capture interest. It's just another repetitive, generic, unfunny and utterly bland TV show.

Maybe I'm just biased because Disney set the bar so high in the 90s with amazing shows like So Weird and The Famous Jett Jackson and such. Now, I guess writers realize kids will watch anything with a laugh track and deem it Shakespear, so they really don't try anymore.

This show is so uninteresting. The characters are so generic and void of personality. It's just another iCarly or Hannah Montana. You have the female lead, which is always free of any character or originality. I didn't take time to remember her name, seeing as she's the same character as Carly, Miley, Alex Russo, True Jackson, Sonny and more. They all have different jobs and such, but the way they act is completely the same. The youngest boy is the same as Corey Baxter and Max Russo, as in the young boy that has no purpose other than to annoy the female lead. Pretty much all the characters can be matched to past characters from Disney/Nickelodeon history.

As for the stories, they're the same thing we've seen before on countless other shows, except with mediocre ways of throwing in the baby. The comedy is dry, predictable and really not funny at all. It's just the same jokes we've seen before just slightly varied, and they don't really serve any purpose. The show is so generic and bland it could easily be mistaken for any other modern-day disney show, like Shake it Up or something. But the modern generation of TV viewers are so stupid they find this generic and bland piece of suck entertaining. In short, this show is just what happens when you have an audience that will watch anything, and you have no creativity or original thoughts at all, and you don't even bother to try. Disney used to be so fun and a good way for young people to get entertained. Now it's like they're not even trying anymore, and they just keep throwing out the same show over and over again, just twisting the names and gimmicks around a little. Wizards, living in the white house, being a superstar in secret, now looking after a baby. These are just slight tweaks on what is really the same show repeated over and over again, with the same bland, generic characters, same bland, generic jokes, same bland, generic episodes, and I swear their using the same laugh track. I mean, it doesn't even sound like laughing anymore it just sounds like there's a dentist running around, telling everyone to say "Ah" and they all do it at once. Disney and Nick aren't even trying to make quality material anymore.

This is one of the most annoying live action shows I've seen in a long time. The characters are just FORCING you to laugh, but I can't because this show is actually driving me nuts.

One thing I hate about this show the most is the god awful laugh track. Seriously, just watch an episode. Count how many times the laugh track goes off. That shows that this show tries to force laughter into people.

  • 2 parents, and 4 kids? You got yourself a funny sitcom! *SPOILER WARNING*

    "Good"

Good Luck Charlie is a really funny show, my favourite episodes are Snow Show and Sun Show. I loved seeing Amy all swollen, it was hilarious! Mrs. Dabne is funny. I also liked the episode where PJ and Gabe thought Mrs. Dabne was a killer, it was a laugh riot. I like how Charlie is sometimes put in the last jokes at the end while the credits are shown. This show is pretty funny for a sitcom, better then iCarly. I'm not trying to get other shows involved here. My favourite characters would definitely be, P.J. and Gabe. Because I love PJ and Gabe's sub-plots, it gives them character in the show, Gabe is the devious one and P.J. is the "dumb" one. My overall rating is 7.5.

  • A show that the whole family, regular or disfunctional can enjoy. One of the few Good shows on Disney Channel. And it's a sitcom. Sure the laugh track can be annoying, but it has a little bit of everything for everyone. A brilliant work of art.

Now, what can I say about this show? This is not just a good Disney Channel show, it's a great show period! And after several years of repulsive shows, Disney brings in some talent and gets good again. One of these shows is Good Luck Charlie, a satire of family life. Sure, this has been done before, but this show does it wonderfully.

The Duncan family are the stars of the show, as they adjust to the newest addition of the family, a young girl named Charlie. Their daily foibles and screw-ups are what make this show so realistic and humorous. Almost every few lines there is something that makes my gut burst from laughter.

But there are also heartfelt moments. The moments are when something goes wrong, and someone is down, and it shows that your family will always love you. This is acted so well it seems like they actually are related. And all of the insecurities and problems they face are relatable, and that gives it more charm.

In my opinion, this is an excellent show, and a blessing to Disney Channel.

    My Grade: A+

Good Luck, Good Luck Charlie! A bright future lay ahead!

I think that they can make this show a lot more better in my opinion. i think that the storylines and the characters don't make much sense whatsoever but the only one that i like that makes me laugh sometimes is pj he is a very funny character but the other characters don't make me laugh. bob can be funny as well. pj and bob are the only characters that make me laugh in this show. amy is kinda irritating and i dont like gabe that much. teddy is probably the most irritating character in this show but besides all of that... this show isnt half bad and some episodes actually are pretty good and can be very funny. my brother tigerdude22 absolutely loves this show though. he laughs super hard at this show. im not kidding whenever I watch this show with him, he cant stop laughing.

  • Finally a Dinsey show about something EVERYONE can relate too.

So instead of creating more stuff like being a superstar, living in a hotel/cruise, being a wizard, living on the freaking white house, being called to be a regular on a TV show or being hired as dancers ona show, Disney makes a hoswabout a Normal family with Normal situations. The Duncan family consists of Bob, a bug exterminator, his wife Amy and their 4 kids; rockstar wannabe PJ, normal teen Teddy, troublemaker Gabe & recently born Charlie. Charlie & Teddy are girls, don't let the names fool ya. We allso got Ivy & Emmett, Teddy & PJ's black BFs respectively. The show main theme is Teddy taping a videodiary for her baby sister about evnets happeining in the family.

Overall: It's a great show, very funny and with great characters & situations. 9.5/10.
  • Hmm... it's a Disney Channel show that's not about wizards, celeberties, or dancing... It's worth a shot. Good Luck Charlie is worth a shot.

Now we all know the tragic story of Disney Channel. Hannah Montana came, than Wizards of Waverly Place, and then came Shake it Up. We all lost complete hope, but then Good Luck Charlie came. Family comedy is finally back. I have a few compliments and problems for this show, but overall it's fantastic.

Compliment #1 Cast- The cast in this show is soo likeable. Compared to other Disney Channel shows, this show has a little personality from everyone. There's some stuff from a dad's point of veiw, and from a mom's point of veiw. Teddy (played by Brigdet Mendler), is extremely likeable and a good actor, making the show bearable to watch. PJ is pretty good, and Gabe is exceptinol. The adults in this show are also very good at their parts.

Compliment #2 Humor- This show brings a wonderful mix of sarcasm, stupidness, and slitgh adult humor. Some people are saying that this show is on the border of being to inappropriate for kids, but the jokes are safe. If a kid dosen't understand them, (but most will), than they're not harmed, they just don't get it. There is also lots of sarcasm and funny little humor. Also good about this show is the laugh track. Like in old shows, the laught track sounds like a studio audience becuase funnier moments get bigger laughs, instead of one identical laugh playing every single time.

Compliment #3 Plot- The main plot of this show is very realtible and funny. It reminds me of Full House or Family Matters. Unlike Hannah Montana, which just is tacky and unrealtible, Good Luck Charlie can bring back family memories for you, or just make you laugh. There's no vampires or popstars, just funny family situations.

Unfortunatley, there's a few problems in the show.

Problem #1 Charlie- I think Charlie is very cute, and is a great addition to the show, but when she "talks"it is very annoying. This is because it just plays a recording of Charlie saying something. Her mouth dosen't actually move... It's strange. o.o

Problem #2 Plots- The main plot of this show may be good, but a few of the episodes fall flat. One of these episodes is the first one. It's just sort of boring to watch Teddy's bf come over and they study. There are some unique twists in the plot, but it stills falls flat. Although, other plots like when Teddy and Ivy ditch school and go to Super Adventure Land, are extremely creative and funny. So don't get me wrong, this is just a minor issue.

Ok, so overall, this show is very very good, for Disney Channel. Say that you only have Disney Channel on your cable, (which makes no sense at all,) Good Luck Charlie is a good #1 choice to watch. Hope this reveiw helped! :P

  • Good Luck Charlie is an awesome show and i enjoy watching every episode very much.

I have always enjoyed watching Good Luck Charlie. Every single episode is sooooo funny! i love Charlie so much. She is such a cute baby and is very funny for a 2yr old! Let's face it: Disney Channel sucks. It's filled with corny sitcoms with dumb premises, bad crossovers, and pop singers. But in April 2010, a beacon of hope shined its light upon them, offering redemption from their crappiness. That beacon of hope was called "Good Luck Charlie."

Good Luck Charlie centers around Teddy, PJ, and Gabe Duncan all trying to care for the newest child (Charlie) while dealing with everyday life. The "wacky family" plot isn't very original, but it's way better premise than a family of wizards or a pop-star double life.

The characters of this show are all pretty likeable and have their funny moments, even though they can be annoying sometimes. Despite the title, the series' main character is Teddy Duncan, the teenage daughter of the family. She makes video dairies to prepare Charlie for her teenage years (that's where the show's title comes from, she signs off every video with the phrase "Good luck, Charlie"). She's a little cliched, but likeable nonetheless. Other characters: PJ Duncan, the oldest child, a little dumb and conceited; Gabe, the troublemaker; Amy, the mom, caring yet egocentric; and Bob, the dad, pretty much your usual TV dad (except much smarter). There's also Ivy Wentz, Teddy's best friend, also a little conceited, but nice.

As for the humor, it's a little hit-and-miss. However, MOST of it is hit. While most of the jokes are clever and humorous, some of them are a little corny and overused. When you watch the show you might notice that it uses crude humor once in a while (it has a baby in it, so I expected that). Normally, that's a bad thing. But in GLC, it works. For crude humor, whether it's good or not is all about execution, and this show executes it well mostly.

Despite it's shortcomings, Good Luck Charlie is a great family sitcom and worth watching. It's not enough to make me LIKE Disney Channel, but it shows that the network has a little bit of hope left.
  • Good luck Disney!

Good luck charlie is one of the worst most horridly offensive shows on the air. The target audience is hard to specify seeing how most jokes are either too mature for younger kids to get or too child-like for teens/adults to ever be interested in. The show claims to be a throwback to the classic sitcoms like all in the family and family ties, but this barely shows. Many arkatype disney traits are present such a boring dialouge and the writing is terrible. In short, Disney is simply wasting their money on a franchise that isn't going anywhere. Don't watch!

This is an okay show, but there are a few things that kind of annoy me about it. First and foremost, the mother. She annoys the heck outta me. She's a huge, inmature brat who acts like the teenager of the family. PJ is really annoying, as well, and isn't all that funny. I'm really disappointed in Jason Dolley's acting. Teddy isn't at all relatable as a main character. She's way too perfect and she kinda acts like a brat about it. Gabe, Charlie and the dad are okay. That is all I have to say. Blah, blah, blah, blah.
  • Ah yes a GOOD FAMILY show and it's starting to bring back memories of the good old days when Family Matters,Full House, etc were on

Ah yes,Disney Channel,A never ending roller coaster, with ending, and canceling most of their previous cartoon shows like "Kim Possible" "American Dragon:Jake Long" "The Proud Family" etc they have lost TONS of viewers. And sadly they though they could replace those cartoons with new cit coms like "Hannah Montanna" or "Shake it up" and even "Sonny with a chance" The only reasons these shows are still on is because of all the young girls who THINK that these shows give good lessons and the characters cool. When in reality they aren't.Now Wizards of Waverly place is different then most shows,it's still got a lot of people that like it and it's pretty cool if you actually get into it.but Good Luck Charlie is just plain great. It's feels like I'm watching the good old classic family show like "Family Matters" and "Full House" It's reminds me of those good old days, and sadly that's a feeling that the new generations kids won't experience

I have to say, I am not a fan of the Disney Channel, nor was I ever, but after seeing how good everyone thought this show was, I decided to search for episodes on Youtube. I am very thankful that I tuned in to this show. Most of the time it's very funny, all of the main characters are likeable, although Teddy is a little annoying sometimes. I especially love Charlie and always thought she was so adorable. The storylines are also usually very compelling and interesting. I have seen almost every episode and have really enjoyed most of them. The only ones that don't appeal to me are the ones with the Teddy/Spencer storylines. For the most part, though, this is an excellent show that reminds me of the old days of TV, and I am really glad I tuned in to it. Marebear2009, out!

I like the show because it actually revolves around a family. Not a boyfriend and girlfriend, not a kid and a single parent, but two parents who are both married and their children. It's about time the put "full" families back on TV. I was surprised that this show was actually funny compared to other new shows kid networks are making now.
  • A perfect show to air on Disney Channel

    "Perfect"
I love this episode and it's one of the funniest Disney Channel shows I've seen. I love all of the characters in this show and their acting is good and they are all funny. I enjoy most of the episodes that "Good Luck Charlie" gives us. "Good Luck Charlie" is a show for the whole family to get a good laugh at. Although, sometimes this show adds humor that little kids wouldn't understand and it would be inappropriate for them to know if they are suspicious about the humors. Despite, some humors that only teenagers and adults would understand, this is a perfect show. I also think that Teddy (Bridgit Mendler) is a very pretty girl. I don't have problems with the characters or the storylines. Of course, I also think the "Charlie" scenes are so adorable and it makes me say "awwwww". The writers always manage to make this show have well-developed storylines that make me laugh so hard. Not only does it star Bridgit Mendler but it also stars Jason Dolley, Bradley Steven Perry, Leigh Allen-Baker, Eric Allan Kramer. The characters always crack me up and I think that the writers are so creative. Yes, the storylines are predictable sometimes but this show is hilarious and I would definitely consider "Good Luck Charlie" to be one of my best Disney comedy shows I've ever seen. Overall, "Good Luck Charlie" (this show), "Wizards of Waverly Place", and "Fish Hooks" are my all-time favorite Disney Channel shows to watch that are still on the air right now. 10/10
  • One of the best sitcom on Disney

This show is about the Duncan family in Denver, Colorado. It stars Bridgit Mendler as Teddy, a teenage girl that makes video diaries for Charlie, Leigh Allyin Baker as Amy, a nurse, Bradley Steven Perry as Gabe, the youngest son of the family, Mia Talerico (?) as Charlie, the youngest Duncan children who causes trouble at times, Eric Allan Kramer as Bob, an exterminater and Jason Dolley as P.J. Also starring in this show are Ivy, Teddy's best friend, Mrs. Dabney, the Duncan's neighbor, Spencer as Teddy's former boyfriend, and a few others. In this show, Teddy oftens do the video diaries for Charlie at the end (sometimes in the beginning and middle) most episodes (expect Dance Off). I like all the main characters in the show. However, Amy can get a bit annoying sometimes escipally the way she acts. I like how Bridgit dresses very pretty. The most funniest Duncan is possibly Bob. He was very funny in Up a Tree, Teddy Rebounds, and a few others. This show has a lot a humor and it is actually one of the best non animated show on Disney Channel. IMO, this show has some negative stuffs, though I liked most of the episodes. Season one was great and so was the current season. The music is not bad. Overall, this show is mainly awesome and it is one of the best on Disney Channel. Despite the few negative stuffs on the show, I'm giving this show a 10 for obvious reason.
  • A Disney Channel show worth watching. Too bad, it's SO friggin predictable.

Have you ever seen Good Luck Charlie, it's one of those shows that will make you laugh and chuckle a little. I wasn't surprised when I learned part of the crew who made That's So Raven also made this show. I'm not going to lie. I like the characters. I'm not in love with them but just like them.

Teddy brings her own sense of humor; Gabe is a cynical little troublemaker; P.J. is just plan stupid (but these days when you cast Jason Dolley into any kid role...he's always playing the stupid kid); the parents have developed personalities. Oh, the black recurring characters who come in every once in a while to fill in minority quota. (lol)

Overall, each episode will make you chuckle and laugh but rest assured that you are going to see every twist and turn in the story before it even happens. It's a funny, predictable show.
  • I LOVE this show, but that doesn't mean I have no problems with it.

    9.5
    "Superb"
I mentioned that I LOVE this show. It doesn't mean that I have no problems with it though. Here's some reasons why I LOVE this show. The characters get equal parts (although sometimes they focus too much on Gabe & Amy). In most shows, they make parents in the background while they focus on the teenagers. But with this show, the parents get the same amount of screentime as kids. The show may use plots that has been used on other series, but this show has a reputation of turning it into their new original, creative way of the plot. They also always put twists into the plot, not always re-using the solution from other shows.

Now, let's get to my problems with this show. In the first few episodes, they focus on Charlie (since she's really the main part of this show) and the "baby-issues" so Teddy does the video diary to make sure she doesn't do the baby-issues again. However in later episodes they focus on the kids' lives, completely ignoring Charlie. Now they focus on the kids' lives and Teddy does the video diary to make sure she NEVER does it. I know it's the same concept, but I wish they would do more baby-issues instead of lots of teenage problems.

I love Amy, even if she can go past the line a lot of times. I wish she was like an ordinary mom, giving advice, caring, loving, not all selfish. But I still love her.

Gabe and Amy get too much screentime/plots about themselves. I wish they were like in the background for sometime like having a few lines in an episode.

I forgot to mention another reason why I LOVE this show, there's never an episode where one family member doesn't appear. I LOVE that fact because it never feels good to see a character not present in an episode (unless you don't like the character).

I'm wrapping up my review of this amazing, creative show. I don't hate it, I LOVE it. If I were to review any episode (I don't review episodes, I'm too lazy), I would give each episode a 9 or a 10. The show never has any bad episodes.
