(Jake shakes his head like a little kid)
      Penny: Jake?
(Jake nods his head like a little kid)

      Penny: Oh, we lost Bob?

  • Notes

  • Allusions

    • Penny: Okay, look Dr. Phil...
Penny obviously refers to Oprah Winfrey's Dr. Phil, who has also garnered his own T.V. show, wherein he helps people with their problems.

    • Penny: Fonzie, Potsie. Potsie, Fonzie.
Obviously playing off of Jake's joke about her date Adam resembling Fonzie, Penny introduces the two as Fonzie and Potsie, two characters on the comedic sitcom 'Happy Days,' which followed young Richie Cunningham, his family and his friends, as they explored the ups and downs of the fifties.
Arthur 'Fonzie' Fonzarelli was the cool, womanizing hotshot, while poor Warren 'Potsie' Webster was usually the bud of a great deal of jokes.
