Just three episodes earlier, Keith had hit rock bottom with alcoholism. In this episode, Keith is able to leave the home several times, without explanation, as he entered a training program for the Chicago Bears. The Evans family should have been alarmed that he was out that frequently without explanation.
The Evans' new address will be 743 Baker Street.
J.J. appears in a Dyno Man outfit.
In this episode like many others, Willona received the same promotion. Everytime she was promoted, she was turned into the Head Buyer for the Boutique.
Florida's nickname 20 years ago was "Pookie Poo."
The Evans' Apartment number is disclosed as Apartment 17C.
During the dinner table conversation about how a girl used to refer to Keith as "Keiffy," Joe reveals that he's now married to her after Keith makes fun of her. But at the beginning of the conversation, Joe acts like he can't remember that his own wife used to call him Keiffy.
How was Keith able to hide his bottle of booze in the toilet tank? The tank fills back up after every flush, and as the bottle gets emptier and emptier, it would float to the top.
When Willona and Mrs. Gordon are talking, Willona says 'you come barging in here, setting me up like I'm some sort of gangster', but when the tape is played back with their conversation on it, she says 'you come in here like I'm some sort of gangster'.
At the beginning of the episode, Thelma, Michael and Keith are all sick. When Florida and J.J. take Penny to the doctor and return, they're all suddenly better.
Penny gets sick enough for her fever to climb to 104 degrees, yet the Evan's kept her covered up with blankets. Also, if the medicine wasn't working to bring the fever down, why didn't they try a cold bath?
Kathleen Bradley, the nurse, will be a star in her own right: she will become one of Barker's Beauties on The Price is Right in 1990.
It's weird that Larry, who can't hear like he should, can hear people speaking at normal frequencies, but not loud noises like when Florida drops a breakable dish.
Near the end of the episode, it's very noticeable when Ralph Carter nearly forgets his line, "Wait a minute, intimidating the uhhhhh witness is a criminal offense."
Florida reminds Willona of how skimpy she used to dress in high school, Willona acts as if high school is such a far time away for Penny. However, Willona says in this episode that Penny is 13, (although that can't be possible since Penny was 9 a year before,) if that is true, then high school would only be about a year away for her.
Goof: In this episode, Willona says that Penny is 13 years old. Penny hasn't been living with Willona a whole year by the time this episode was done, and she was just under 10 when Willona first adopted her.
Name Flub: Bookman calls Willona "Ms. Williams." Her last name was Woods.
In the opening segment showing scenes from previous episodes, pay attention to the shot where Keith trips over J.J. It's a different shot from the previous episode -- Keith actually hits the door to the church's entrance during this version of the fall.
Sweet Daddy's piranha (in his office in the fish tank) look an awful lot like peaceful Silver Dollar fish.
Goof: Willona tells Thelma and Michael that she was married to a man name Roger but in the 4th season his name was Ray, and in the first season, she called him Alvin.
