This is how you tell a story of the main characters doing heroic stuff. Basically they have great synergy and teamwork, leading to their glorious reputation among the school.
Max had a problem with the bullies' nasty actions to smaller kids, and when he saw what PJ could do to the bullies, them form a team to stop the school bullies so that the small kids will be saved. The bullies, headed by Mr. Big, won't let that happen, and had a plan.
Basically, the plan was to spoil the reputation of the heroes, something which every kind of hero faces because of a power struggle. Of course, they made it to the end.
