This episode had the most "How To" subjects (narrated by the "How To" Narrator), featuring two session: - "Plumbing in the Home" - Basics from the Army Manual
Goofy: Hmm, let's see…instructions in Spanish, German, French, Dutch, Italian…ah, here we go, instructions in English, a-hyuck! These oughta do it.
"How To" Narrator: BASICS from the ARMY MANUAL Yes, it's true! You're in the army now. (Goofy: A-hyuck! There's that voice again.) [Chapter 1: The Obstacle Course] Military efficiency is based on vigorous, physical training. (Goofy ran) Overcoming physical challenges take strength, speed and stamina (Goofy crashed a wall). Of course, looking where you're going helps too. (Goofy fainted) [Agility] Only the finely-tuned body can bring to bear that oh-so-important (Goofy warmed up) quality of: agility (Goofy ran to the rope). And on the way to opportunity for our citizen soldier to bring all of his effort to bear or to accomplish one mighty quest, searching spectacularly for the heights of athletic prowess!, (The rope's knot was loose) Which are utterly useless if the equipment is not properly checked beforehand. (Goofy grabbed the loose rope and fell off the cliff. Goofy: "Ah-hoo-hoo-hoo-hooey!") [Balance] (Goofy looked down on the swamp) Balance is another attribute to make the military service. (Goofy stood on the tightrope and balanced on it) One never knows when a tiny seemingly insignificant misstep will send the soldier catapulting to his doom! (The rope was weighted down into the swamp. Goofy: "Too heavy.") Successful balance requires nerves of steel, cat-like reflexes of the stern resolution, never to be caught off guard! (Goofy put his heavy backpack down and wiped his sweat, but was catapulted into the sky)
"How To" Narrator: PLUMBING IN THE HOME [Chapter One: The Kitchen Sink] Nothing is as easy as disconnecting the kitchen sink for its annual cleaning and inspection (Goofy: "I love this stuff!"). First, select your pipe wrench. (Goofy took a handsaw) I said: PIPE WRENCH! (Goofy took a pipe wrench. Goofy: "Oh, silly ol' me, a-hyuck!") Now, simply unscrew the piece wrap from the tailpiece and while table john play table toe and that tat-tat-tat. (Goofy: "Oh-ho-ho-ho, this is a cinch!" There was a tremor and rumble.) But what ever you do, don't forget to shut down the water! (Water started gushing out from under the sink, washing Waffles and Goofy away.)
Even though Earl was Pete's competitor (Earl's Auto), he had different appearences in different episodes. He also appeared in Rally 'round the Goof and Inspector Goofy. The only thing that was the same for all those Earls was that their businesses are beside Pete's one (Honest Pete's).
First and only appearance of Uncle Bob Sparrowhawk.
"Uncle Sam Wants You": Uncle Bob Sparrowhawk said this statement in his own way: "Uncle Bob Wants You!". Uncle Sam is the national personification of the US. This statement is used when hiring people for the US war.
