Episode Summary

Ghost Beach
Jerry can't wait to explore the dark, spooky old cave he found down by the beach. Then the other kids tell him a story. A story about a ghost who lives deep inside the cave. A ghost who is three hundred years old. A ghost who comes out when the moon is full. A ghost who is haunting the beach. Just another stupid ghost story. Right?moreless

  • Scary!.... to a five year old

This episode was terrible. You think a big name studio like fox would be able to get some decent child actors. This episode was terrible. I just kind of watched it and thought to myself "so what?" i didn't care. R.L. did what he did at the end of every story. It turns out the other person was a ghost. Oh wow i didn't see that one coming except for the fact that the kids acted so bad you could see it coming from a mile away! So basically the episode was awful and i hope that i never have to see it again unless i die and go to hellmoreless
  • Sometimes, there's nothing like a good old ghost story to send a chill up your spine...

That's where Ghost Beach comes in. It is about an old beach with a historical graveyard or two. There are a lot of people there with the same last name: Sadler. The plot and the storyline are both good and the actors are not quite so bad either. The special effects though, could have been made a little better. The one I am speaking of is the lightning effect. That lightning looked a little TOO fake. Otherwise, the episode was quite good...That is, if you like horror stories intended for a younger audience. Some people still watch this show and it is still captivating, despite it's old episodic air dates.moreless
  • Terri and Jerry meet two other kids that are around their age. These two claim to be a part of their family and they warn Terri and Jerry about a ghost that eats dogs and resides in a local cave.moreless

This isn't a horrible episode by any means, but it just doesn't have enough thrill or excitement to last throughout in my opinion. There are way too many contradictions amongst the characters - first the kids say that the guy in the cave is a ghost, then he says that they are, and then they of course disagree - it gets really old by the end and you just want to know the truth. Plus, the acting job is not up to par. So, even though the episode itself is not horrible, the ending is. It was suspected that the old shady couple would turn out to be ghosts since they were so neutral when the kids mentioned ghosts. It is assumed that they are going to have the dog for supper which is just disgusting.moreless
