This was one of my favourite episodes of Gossip Girl. There was drama and it was less focused around Serena and Dan which made it amazing.

    But Jenny!!!!

I'm so upset. True I have never really liked Jenny since season 1, but in this episode I just... I was so disappointed in her. I was so angry at her. And yet, somehow it came across like she was the victim. I think everyone was underestimating her and her own agenda. For once, I thought Serena looked amazing all episode. She was stylish and pretty and I loved her hair and outfits. And the cliffhanger at the end of the episode? I'm so angry and anxious to see what happens next.moreless
  • Perfect Gossip Girl Season End!!!

This episode has been a stunner, with all the Gossip Girl elements involved. It has been the perfect ending to season 3!

With Nate and Sarena's almost fake relationship coming to an end (or should we say break because there's nothing such as an end in Gossip Girl), and Vanessa's absence making Dan have feelings for Serena all over again, the episode kinda brought things to square one. Though we all know the spice that Dan and Sarena together can never get hot, somehow they managed to pull it off this time.

Chuck, so deeply in love with B, has his own way to try and get her back. But will his mess up in the end with Jenny cause him his life? Something to watch out in the next season. Jenny should really stop being so whinny and pamper kid, but good reddens to her at least for a while she is going to be stuck at her mother's!

Georgina is back! WoW! Now we are talking about more action. She has a problem but no one wants to listen. Everybody hates her and wants nothing to do with her, but Dan, can he stay away with his kid in her tummy?!

We'll have to wait to know!

  • "But if we hold onto the past too tight, the future may never come. 'Till death do us part, xoxo, Gossip Girl." . . . creepy.

In my opinion, Last Tango, Then Paris is hard to compare with the previous season finale. Last season's ender seemed more interesting with the addition of Gossip Girl herself as a character. However, this episode had scenes that were more intense and dramatic, and the cliffhangers were more shocking than ever before. This season finale had separate storylines, and, unlike season two's finale, did not have the characters come together in one scene.

The drama between Chuck, Blair, and Jenny was front and center this episode. Chuck, who was seemingly rejected by Blair atop the Empire State Building, and Jenny, who was banished to Hudson by her father for her previous manipulations, did the unthinkable. This moment came extremely unexpectedly to me, even though the writers had been foreshadowing it ever since the two started sharing scenes. Understandably, Jenny was a crying mess when Chuck ignored her afterwards and got back together with Blair. This led to the dramatic confrontation and climax, when Dan defended Jenny and socked Chuck as he was about to propose to Blair. This entire storylines this episode seemed like vintage Gossip Girl, mostly since it included an "OMG moment" and Dan puching Chuck, which he hasn't done for two seasons.

The love triangle between Serena, Nate, and Dan brought back a storyline that could have been used in season one. I was happy that they included the "GG blast," since the actual character of Gossip Girl was not present for most of the season. As Serena and Nate break up, Dan rekindled his interst in Serena, even though they're step siblings and share a half-brother. I look forward to how the on-and off "Derena" will overcome this obstacle, that initially helped lead to their beakup in late season two.

Georgina confused me this episode. Sporting a blonde wig, she asks Blair and Chuck for help, apparently involving Russians. Then, she comes to Dan pregnant with his child. I'm hoping that this is only the beginning to a sinister season one-esque plot that will make more sense next season. I miss when she was drugging Serena, outing Eric and pretending to be 'Sarah.'

The episode ends with Jenny leaving to Hudson, Serena and Blair jetting off to Paris, and Nate becoming Chuck Bass 2.0. Oh, and speaking of Chuck, he gets mugged and shot. As the screen zooms out on his bleeding body, Gossip Girl makes a creepy closing remark. A morbid way to end a season, yes, but an excellent way to keep viewers waiting for season four.

All in all, Last Tango, Then Paris felt like any ordinary episode, aside from the 'one week later...' bit. However, the drama was above par, which is what we need from a teenage drama TV show. Hopefully season four will answer all the questions left open this episode!moreless
  • Season Finale

Omg. I had three moments in this episode where i went omg. The first being Chuck sleeping with Jenny, which was more of an angry omg. How could he sleep with Jenny just moments after he was waiting for Blair? I know he says he didnt think she loved him anymore but still.. And Jenny, losing her virginity to the man that almost raped her three years ago? Really?

The second moment...Georginas pregnant! And to Dan? I have a hard time believing that it is actually Dans baby, I think this might just be another one of Georginas schemes. The third moment...Chuck got shot?!? Omg. Now I was pissed at him earlier on in the episode, but seeing him get shot made me lose my anger and feel so sad. And it being because of him not wanting to give up the ring, made it even sadder.

I cant wait to see what happens in September. Will Georgina stick around and have her baby? Will Chuck survive? How will Blair react when she finds out about Chuck? Will Dan and Serena get back together? Or Nate and Serena? So many questions...all in all it was a good episode..not sure i like some of the things that happened but still it was good :).moreless
  • Georgina returns to the Upper East Side in a mysterious blonde wig. Jenny hits rock bottom. Serena, Nate and Dan get caught up in a love triangle. Blair must decide whether to meet chuck at the Empire State building. Dorota has her babymoreless

What can I say? One of THE BEST episodes of Gossip Girl ever! Honestly it was awesome. I can't believe Georgina is pregnant with Dan's baby! But she could be faking it is a georgina type thing to do :L

As for Jenny I do feel quite sorry for her. Losing her virginity to Chuck her sort of brother? Thats just too wrong for words!

Awwwww I so want Serena and Dan to get back together! They are just so good together! Nate and Serena broke up and Dan was just about to go after Serena to France when Georgina told him he was going to be a father. His face resembled this :O

I do feel sorry for Chuck all he really want is to be with Blair and when she was late for their meeting at the empire state building because Dorota was in labour he thought he had lost her forever. But still did he have to sleep with Jenny? It's just wrong! I kinda wish Chuck had got his chance to propose to Blair I know its wrong after what he did but I can't help it I just love them together! Of course when Blair found out she went absoloutely mental! At the end of the episode Chuck ws in holiday in oh I can't remember I think it was the czech republic or someplace like that?? I found the end sooooo sad I was almost crying! When he was being mugged he was telling the muggers to take anything other than the ring he would even give them his money! I just thought that was sooooo sweet that the ring meant that much to him. More than his money. Obviously the horrible muggers didn't believe him and shot him and he collapsed to the floor. We son't know whether Chuck has lived or died. Bring on season 4! xoxo GossipGirlmoreless

  • TRIVIA (1)

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Jenny: I'm trying to forget some things, too. Mostly how happy I thought I'd be once I made it in this world.
Chuck: The world you're looking for only exists from the outside. The only reason I survive in it is because I always knew it was empty.
Jenny: Yeah. And now I know, too. I found out the hard way.
Chuck: The hard way is the only way.

    • Dan: (to Chuck after punching him) You tell her!
Blair: Tell me what? What's going on? (she realizes what happened between Chuck and Jenny) You didn't.
      Chuck Blair.
Blair: (to Chuck) You did. (to Jenny) You! Get out of here now. And not just out of this hospital, but off this island. Go and never come back, because if you ever set foot in Manhattan again, I will know, and I will destroy you.
      Jenny: Blair, I'm sorry.
Dan: You have no reason to be sorry. This begins and ends with Chuck.

    • Dan: Blair... Say life is giving you signs, and you're ignoring them because you're afraid of the thing they're signaling you to do. But-but then-but then you think, what if these signs are here for a reason and-and ignoring them just makes me a coward?
Blair: Signs are for the religious, the superstitious, and the lower class. I don't believe in them and neither should you.

    • Dorota: Miss Blair, I defriend Mr. Chuck in Facebook and in life. But... This is pretty romantic thing he's doing. If not going means never having Chuck in your life again, are you prepared to live like that?
Blair: Yes. But even if I'm not, if you let me go anywhere near 34th street, there won't be a miracle but a massacre.

    • Blair: When are you gonna get it? For three years, you've tried to worm your way into our world, but you will never be a part of it no matter what you do. This isn't copycat dressing at Constance or dumping dairy on your best friend to prove a point. Nate and Serena? That's mythic. You don't mess with that and survive. You're hurting people I love. You're hurting people you love.
      Jenny: I wasn't trying to, I...
Blair: Nate loves Serena, Dan loves Vanessa -God knows why-, and chuck loves me. But, you, Jenny? No one loves you, except your daddy. And after what you pulled yesterday, who knows if that's even true anymore?

    • Lily: Jenny? Rufus, teenage girls are a nightmare. As soon as they realize that you'll love 'em no matter what they do, you lose all of your power. You just have to wait till they finish college. Or in the case of serena, rebel and not go.
