  • Season 3 Premiere

Gossip Girl is back and it's not horrible? Maybe this season wont be that bad after all? We saw a major drop in quality last year, and I'm hopeful that things return to form this year. We've got some pretty interesting story lines to say the least.

I think Josh Schwartz may have gotten Chuck & Blair together too early in the series. Interested in seeing what he does with this couple now that they might become "boring" as Blair says. Serena also returns, very secretive, as usual.

Serena is trying to find her father. And to do so, she tries to become a socialite to get his attention? Sorry, but I'm not buying that. The Dan & Vanessa scenes were good, and I'm glad we didn't see the revival of the Nate & Vanessa relationship.

I like Joana Garcia, so I'm interested in seeing what she's going to bring to the table. The only problem is the character she shares scenes with is the most uninteresting of the cast. I'm most interested in Scott though. Can't wait for that to come to light. Overall, solid premiere.moreless
  • It's back and yes it's good but Why can't Gossip girl open a season on a excellant episode?

Gossip Girl does exactly what it says on the tin. Like the rest of you i have watched it from the start and it never disapoints. Series one was excellant and even accounted as a piece of work on its own it was a very accomplished series. We were introduced to the gang serena (Blonde with a past), Dan (lonely Boy) Chuck Bass (His second name says it all, Blair (The Evil Queen B) Jenny (Dan's little sister, determined to climb the social ladder) and Nate (Blair supposedly prince charming). What season one did well was it was able to conform to the stereotypes then change then drastically mid-season, keeping viewers week after week on there feet. Season two started to show cracks in the formula as episodes didn't cohere as mucg as the first series however the gossip and scandels were enough to keep you hooked week after week. However what i have noticed from all the series to date episode 1 is always the worst. First series even though it did a good job as a pilot episode it was crushed by every other episode in the series. Then series 2, we had a poor opener which was one of the worst episodes all season. Now to series 3 and what you know it we get a half-good episode that doesn't even look as though it's trying. All the characters are back and ironically this is one of it's downfalls. There just almodt too much to digest all at once. Also once again we have Serena taking centre stage and like everyone else i don't think she's the best character, infact im tired of the attention seeking bad girl. Blair who i think deservingly is the better character than serena was but on a back burner and her character wasn't given a good storyline to kick of the season. However out of all the bad things the episode had to offer there was also some very good things. Vanessa for one, surprised me as i felt as we saw a different side to her and i felt myself warming to her character more than in any of the past series also it will be interesting to see whether she'll cause enemies with any of the upper eastsiders aka Dan. There tiff was amusing to watch and just like vanessa i didnt like the new rich Dan either. Chuck and blair stole the show and chuck looked ace in all the suits, he'd be great in his own series- tackling the business world. And lastly im intrigued by the war which i guess is abouu to brake out between the archibalds and the lundeys (?) yer im not sure on the name however i was intrigued as to where it may go even if i think Nate is the stiffiest actor on the planet. The episode was good but just not what it should have been, far to much attention was focused on serena and carter baisen and not enough on everyone else. The show seems to need a breath of fresh air fresh faces. I no we got two in lily and rufus' son and nate's new fling however they didn't have any star presence on the screen compared to the other characters. I believe the sereis will get alot better infact i think it could end up being the best (Maybe pushing it a bit after the masterpiece series 1) and i'm looking forward to next week and the return of georgina.moreless
  • We're back after summer and Blair and Chuck are back to their old tricks. Serena is back in town after a stormy summer.

This was a brilliant episode. Thank you.

Blair and Chuck seem to be happy and making their relationship work. I liked seeing that. It was much needed after all of their drama. A devoted Chuck is sooo cute. One of the not so good things was on Serena in this episode. She has all these problems with getting in contact with her father yet at the same time she acts very shallow and mean to her family. A normal girl would be more emotionally worked up and not quite so focused. A bit overplayed. Vanessa acts up yet again, so we know she's back to normal but I think she should give Dan a chance. I like this new version of him. I suits him.moreless
  • Reversals of Fortune Quotes Blair: What if we need games? What if without them we're boring? Chuck: We could never be boring. Blair: You say that but I know you. You're Chuck Bass. Chuck:moreless

Blair: What if we need games? What if without them we're boring?

Chuck: We could never be boring.

Blair: You say that but I know you. You're Chuck Bass.

Chuck: I'm not Chuck Bass without you.

    With Blair he's Charles Bass

Without then he is Chuck Bass

I've seen the clips, read the stuff on the official GG website. Why is that the only person he's ever been in love with (and he cheats her) wha why

Don't really care about everyone else's story just Chuck& Blair's It took half of season1 and the whole of season2 for him to admit his feelings for Blair

And Blair well she told him when his father died.

    his father died.moreless
  • The wait is over, you know you've missed it.

Even though it wasn't the strongest start, I'm gettin' ready for another season of my favorite show. I love how B is finally happy with Bass, them not hooking up in season two drove me insane. But, they wouldn't be them if they didn't make a game out of it. However, I hope they'll stick together through out the season, but it is Gossip Girl and you will never know.

Nate is dating Bree, who is an enemy of the family, you go Nate. If my family would control me like they are controling him, I would rebel! Jenny is getting used to the sweet life of the rich as well as her brother Dan. The only one not really adapting to the situation is Vanessa, but she's a down to earth girl. She will get there, with new boyfriend and half brother to Dan, Scott.

I have no idea if I'm alone on this, but I have to speak my mind. I'm getting annoyed with Miss Van Der Woodsen. This is only the first episode and I already wanted to fast forward to where she wasn't. I love the series so much, so I hope this... thing against Serena will dissapear.

Other than that, glad to have you back, Gossip Girl.moreless
