It's Yom Kippur on Gossip Girl: Time to atone for past sins. Blair kicks things off by announcing her pregnancy to Louis's family and her own.
Everyone is excited for her, except Serena, who is too busy being mad at Dan for what he wrote in his book about her – not to mention what he and Blair got up to in his book. She decides the best revenge is to get the movie rights to his book, so she pretends to not be mad at Dan anymore. Most everyone else is still mad at Dan, too, including his dad.
Chuck, however, is taking it all in stride. He takes his new dog Monkey to the park and gets a therapist's phone number there. Later he meets up with her and hits on her instead of seeking treatment. She throws him out, but Chuck doesn't give up. He calls again and says he wants to change.
The royal reaction to Blair's news is hand over a contract stating Blair can't visit New York for more than 48 hours. Louis supports her in not signing the agreement and gets himself disowned.
When Dan goes on TV to talk about his book and doesn't mention that Serena's boss has secured the deal, it puts her job in jeopardy. Serena continues to plot how she can destroy Dan's potential deal with famous real-life movie producer Harvey Weinstein. She plays to Dan's sympathy by telling him he was the love of her life. It works and he grants her the movie rights to his book.
At the NY Spectator, Diana wants Nate and Charlie/Ivy to dig up dirt on Lily's family. Lily makes it easy by mentioning she has a safe of all of Bart Bass's files. Chuck steps in to help them break into the safe. Nate has second thoughts about destroying Lily's family and tells Charlie not to give the evidence to Diana. Charlie agrees but then hands over the papers to Diana anyway. Diana merely pulls one photo of herself out and returns the rest to Charlie. Later, we see Diana burn her photo.
