Gotham's pilot had its low points and high points, but the lows weren't so low that the highs couldn't save it.

Gotham "Selina Kyle" Review: The Kitty Has Claws
Though it was fairly batty (pun partially intended), Gotham's second episode contained some strong character moments that brought our cast into sharper focus than the pilot initially allowed.

Gotham "Penguin's Umbrella" Review: Birds of an Awesome, War-Mongering Feather
I'm gonna come right out and say it: "Penguin's Umbrella" was my favorite episode of Gotham to date even with all the "ugh, Barbara" moments.

Gotham "The Blind Fortune Teller" Review: Birds of a Feather
I don't think we've yet had an episode of Gotham that highlighted the show's ensemble as well as "The Blind Fortune Teller" did.

Gotham "Viper" Review: Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test
After several weeks of mediocre-at-best episodes, "Viper" was pleasantly surprising in both its writing and its execution.

Gotham "The Scarecrow" Review: Fear in the Eyes of the Beholder
"The Scarecrow" did a nice job with reimagining the origin story of its titular character, but we sure are getting tired of Baby Batman.

Turn on the Bat Signal: 6 Things Gotham Can Do to Improve
The show is just getting its sea legs, and I'm going to try to respect that, but the ship still needs righting.

Gotham "Harvey Dent" Review: Boom Goes the Dynamite
This latest visit to Gotham wasn't nearly as exciting as the ones that preceded it.

Gotham "The Balloonman" Review: There's No Place Like Home
"The Balloonman" could have been a good episode. At the very least, it could have been a not-horrible episode. What a shame.
