It's good as long as you don't take it too seriously. Aspects of it remind me of the original black & white comics, Batman: The Animated Series and even the Burton/Nolan Batman movies. The dialogue can be very cheesy, but that's the way it was in the comics.

I don't know, seemed like they were trying for too much. Too many comic book mentions to take seriously.

A pretty decent debut with lots of potential. The pilot episode hit all the right notes from the characters to the story foundation to capturing the Gotham atmosphere.Definitely will continue to watch the series and see what happens next.Should be an interesting ride.

I think Gotham will be the biggest surprise of this season, like The Blacklist that was the biggest surprise of the last season.

I have too many shows on Monday to be able to videotape Gotham. Will there be any re-airings other than the first airing of each episode?

Ditto! Friday nights will reair it. You still use videotapes? Wow.

LOL I knew when I wrote that it didn't sound right. But I detest using dvr as a verb. Thanks for the info. I hope it will be worth it.

OH I forgot, starting next week we will also have NCIS:LA to fit in Monday's line-up thanks to the New Orleans show on Tuesdays.

Looks like you are a TV junkie and since I am too I made myself a set up where I can record up to twelve shows per night.

[sigh] With NCIS LA goin to 10, that doubles me up with The Blacklist so no MNF except maybe from 9-10. I'm screwed.

Record would work. I couldn't record and watch tonight's Gotham pilot, but it seems like it isn't that good?

ABC found a way to hit it big in years past with Taxi, Full House et al but that was awhile ago. We are dedicated to Hawaii Five-O and Blue Bloods but we can record two at once. It's three that kills us on Monday with TBBT, The Voice and The Blacklist. And I catch MNF around 10:00.

Yeah, but Friday nights are usually bad for ratings. Well, FOX is being smart to reair the new episodes beside Monday nights. That give us a chance to watch it!

Time will tell. Unfortunately most network executives are too impatient to allow character development and see if a show finds its legs.

Bad night for a show like this, Friday seems to suit it better.
