Grand Demotion

Show Summary

King of the Korner is a drama film made and released in 2000. It is co-written and directed by multi-media artist James Mathers. The movie looks at the world of the homeless in downtown Los Angeles where it was entirely filmed. Described as an "anti-capitalist drama" by Mather's website, it focuses on the lives of window washers under the freeway of Pasadena. Saul Williams, Hannes Jaenicke, and Leo Fitzpatrick lead the cast. Interestingly, a lot of footage from the film were used in the music video of Saul William's cover of "Sunday, Bloody Sunday."
