Grape Ape is a 40 feet tall (that's about 13 metres) purple gorilla that always wore the same clothes: a cap, a green jacket and a bow tie. Most of his statements end with him repeating his name twice ("Grape Ape. Grape Ape.").''His best friend is Beegle Beagle, a normal-sized white dog. Along with his canine companion, Grape Ape travels around the world in search for adventure and usually finding themselves in all sorts of wacky situatons.''''Grape Ape first appeared on TV as part of the "Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape Show" (which ran on ABC between 1975-1976).     Stupid not funny and no plot and action. Typical garbage that they fed kids in the 1970s.it was a pointless show. I even knew this was an awful show when I was six years old and I was a fan of Scooby Doo. This show was probably put on due to the reaction to violent cartoons brought to you by the same weanie crowd who decided to label dolls as action figures. The only good thing about this show is that it got me out of the habit of watching television since I found watching paint dry to be a more enjoyable experience.moreless
