I think Gravity Falls is better than Phineas and Ferb; but i like Phineas and Ferb too. Also I like Fish Hooks too; but i didn't add Fish Hooks; because some people don't like Fish Hooks.

I think Gravity Falls is better in every aspect. P&F was good, but it started going a little down hill in the middle of S2. S3 has been bad so far. Gravity Falls is showing a lot of potential at the moment. New episodes will start on August 10th again!

Gravity Falls wins the crown for me. 22 minutes of plot is a big plus for me, as it allows for the story to develop more. The writing quality is simply magnificent, and surprisingly intelligent for a show aimed towards kids. Practically makes even some of my 90's favourites look like trash in comparison.

Phineas and Ferb, while not terrible, it mainly falls under the "nothing else to watch" category for me. The fact that nearly every episode follows the same formula kinda just gives a "more of the same" vibe to it, which doesn't really do much for me.

I like both, and I think is too early for a comparison. Of couse GF shows a lot of pontential, but PnF has been on for 5 years and for me it hasn't got the "more of the same" vibe yet, 'cause they often inovating with a very different plot or special episode. I agree that Gravity Falls has a very smart and mature writing, but so does PnF, so for me, now, they're both in the same level.

Although I like Gravity Falls, I'm going to have to say Phineas and Ferb.

I'm going to take the easy way out and say that I can't say that one is better than the other before they are both good and different. But both are something that Disney was in desperate need of given the sort of shows that they had on for a long while. Really I had forgotten what shows Disney had on before P&F and Gravity Falls. Now if I had to chose between the two it would be Gravity Falls. For one it's new and as much as I love P&F and can watch the repeats with no problem I need something fresh. GF has great humor that works on different levels for children and adults. Not to mention the mysteries and not just the one mentioned and that we're focusing on but those that we see in the backgrounds, the secret codes, the cryptograms, the backwards whispers and so on that brings out the sleuthy geeks in some of us. It's like the X-Files for kids.

Gravity Falls, as extreme as it is, has this level of relatablity to the older audience, who hasn't had a crush on someone older? Had that crazy relative? Had to do embarrassing little dances or whatever to make grownups laugh and smile? How many of us didn't watch Fight Fighters and laughed at every fighter video game reference we knew well from the games that we played and still do?

For things like that I can't wait to see more of Gravity Falls.

For me, i choose both shows because it's either them or the live action shows like shake it up.

Gravity Falls, of course. P&F never really captured my attention the way this show did.

Wow 5 years really? 2007 wasn't that long ago. *counts on fingers* Holey cow!!?? When did 2012 get here? I guess the older you get the faster the days really do go by.

To answer the question I had to go with Phineas & Ferb. I have been watching that show ever since it first premiered. I just started watching Gravity Falls about a month ago. Phineas & Ferb is the only cartoon I watch that my mom likes. That helps a lot plus the guys who created it, Dan & Swampy are amazing. I've sent a few messages to Swampy in the past & he responded to them.

I mean yeah as the show goes on I probably will get more into Gravity Falls. I do live in Oregon & have visited the Oregon Vortex of which I think the Mystery Shack is suppose to be based off of. Plus I have a huge interest in the paranormal. Going into Danny Phantom I said to myself that I would never like it as much as I like Fairly Odd Parents but do you know what? It became my all time favorite show.

Phineas & Ferb came around right when Danny Phantom ended & I needed a show to pick me up. That is probably another reason why I love it so much. It caught me at just the right time. When I needed something to obsess over it just arrived there saving me.

Gravity Falls for me actually had pretty decent timing. I got into My Little Pony Friendship is Magic when I was in a slump. I got all depressed because I had nothing to obsess over. Every show I watched was running too slowly & even then I'd just wait & watch them later.

The sad thing is I caught it like right in the middle of season two so once I caught up then watched as it went on I ended up having to go through the long wait for season three. I attended a few conventions & met Tara strong twice which kept me sane but I was starting to go back into my slump.

A brony that I know who is a awesome guy recommended Gravity Falls to me & after watching the first couple episodes I wanted more. I just caught up but I really like it. It did catch me at the right time so it probably is up there in my favorite but hasn't reached the level Phineas & Ferb is at but we'll see. Things change.

I too like both a lot. I loved P&F a lot; so much so, that it actually bumped House down a notch from my #1 favorite show to #2.

I watched every episode of Fish Hooks while it was on Family Channel before it moved to Disney XD, but I never liked it. It is too childish, so I can’t imagine any adults or people with even a modicum of intelligence could like it much (I suppose people on drugs might like it, but they seem to like everything anyway).

I’m thrilled that Alex created Gravity Falls because it is terrific. It is a perfect complement to P&F, making for a nice, solid hour of Disney cartoons (which is good because Disney hardly makes cartoons at all anymore; at least not like they did up until ~2008 ).

I like all of the characters, but Mabel is my favorite because just like Kristen Schaal’s character on Bob’s Burgers Louise, she is just so bizarre and funny.

I'm wishing that in Phineas and Ferb that the'd go back to school, go change it up a bit. Seems like a lot of the same old same old to me.

Gravity Falls of course! Phineas and Ferb, well, it can be funny at times. But after the movie Across the 2nd Dimension this show started to get boring and less creative. I mean seriously Giant Ants? That's one of the most uncreative P&F ideas of all time. Plus Candace is more annoying. Like when she does stuff like Sleep Busting and stuff. And her crush on Germy is getting old and really annoying! Can't she go 1 episode without mentioning Germy?

Phineas and Ferb'ssecond half of season 3 wasn't good for me too but after "Mom's in the House" episode, season 3 got better for me and so far season 4 is going great. This show's ideas are still running out but I still love this show.

Gravity Falls and it's not even close. Comparing Gravity Falls to Phineas and Ferb is like comparing Mozart to Justin Bieber. It's an insult to mention the two in the same breath.

Definitely Gravity Falls for sure. It is more creative than Phineas and Ferb. I already got so bored seeing Phineas and Ferb, so I just quit watching it exactly a year ago. I still do when I'm bored.
