    when the sandy's are performing, do they have to wear the color of their "sandy outfit"? because laura's is yellow and i've only ever seen her in yellow/gold and ashley's is green and i've only ever seen her wear green. it's kind of strange.

    That's funny you asked that. I was thinking the same think last night. I don't know the answer but I'm curious to find out.

    I think so. I'm thinking they got to pick/were assigned a color at the beginning of the show, and now wardrobe gives them that color every week. Also, Max talked about Ashley saying her color is green, which makes me think they may have gotten to choose their color.

    Also, on NBC.com's GYTOIW page, their pictures are trimmed by their color.  Laura's is yellow, Ashley's is green, Max's is orange and Austin's is red.

    they each have a color so its easier for the audience to differentiate who they each are.  if every sandy looked like olivia newton john and every danny looked like john travolta...that would be the only way to tell them appart  lol

    Random fact you guys might not know: Laura and Ashley call each other Sprite because their colors were green and yellow like lemon and lime.
