Great British Menu is back and 24 of the nation's top chefs are competing for the chance to cook at a glorious banquet marking the 70th anniversary of D-Day. This time three of the North West's best chefs, returning contender Mary Ellen McTague, Jason Atherton's protégé James Durrant and ambitious new chef Mark Ellis, battle it out for a place at the finals. The chefs must do everything they can to impress the surprise veteran judge who will be scoring their dishes and they are each drawing on personal inspiration.
