The actors are the chief interest in this routine crime story. Olga Georges-Picot was an attractive French actress of the 70s whose efforts to break into English-language cinema didn't get very far - she had played Roger Moore's mistress in a terrible film called "The Man Who Haunted Himself" and then had a somewhat better role in "The Day Of The Jackal", as an OAS spy. That film's release preceded the first airing of this TV episode by only a few months. Her co-star was the heavyweight Hollywood actor, Victor Buono, a specialist in villains and oddballs. He wisely doesn't attempt a cockney accent - but why does a Soho crimelord sound American?moreless
