Episode Summary

Onizuka's Final Battle
Everything seems to be looking grime from the start when the Teacher's Union force Sakurai, the Chairwoman, to make a tough decision. She must either comply with their outrageous request or have the school shut down. Meanwhile Onizuka continues to defend Miyabi and stakes his career on it in the series finale.moreless

  • Onizuka takes the blame for the knifestabbing of the teacher and escapes from the policecar and starts as a teacher at another school.

For this to be a series finale its a mediocre episode.. When it ends it gives the impression that more episodes are going to follow. But that of course never happened, even though the manga continued for another 3 years. I'm rating it at 5 because I feel that if they intended to shut down the show, they should not make such of an open ending.

    • (During the meeting with the members of the Teachers Union)
Eikichi: The reputation of the school. The authority of the Union. To hell with those shit! I'll beat the hell out of them! (Kicks the door down)
      Hiroshi: Onizuka! You!...
Eikichi: Vice Principal. (Patting his heard) Your baldness will worsen if you yell too much.

    • (The detectives are taking Onizuka away)
Detective #1: What are you doing?! He ran away!
      Detective #2: Wait!
Eikichi: (Being chased) I don't want to be caught! I'm innocent!

    • (Fuyutsuki meets Onizuka on the school roof)
Azusa: What are you planning to do?
Eikichi: Fuyutsuki. Can I borrow some money? (Walking off) Ryuji is begging me to give him back the money. I guess not, huh? You'll never know when you'll get it back if you lend it to me, right?
Azusa: (Leans on him) Please don't leave.

    • (Hiroshi is depressed about the Chairwoman's decision)
Hiroshi: (To himself) Geez... Come to think of it, why do I have to lose my job because of the students? They have no manners. They leave books at school. They talk back. And they use violence. They use drugs. They smoke. And on top of that, they laugh at my baldness! Why do I need to keep our sacredness for those bastards?
