Then he spots her at a wedding stage with some some old man and she later comes home drunk talking about remarrying.   Worker: Mom? You mean... This kid is your son, Julia?
  Julia: Well... I can't deny that...
  Worker: (Patting Kunio's head) Boy isn't this a nice young lad... I can see the resemblance. He even looks very wise.

  When Kunio Murai suspects his mother is going to marry an older man with bald hair, he nicknames him "Professor Elefun", a character from the Astro Boy manga/anime. Later, Kusano even makes fun of Murai saying that if his mother married "Professor Elefun, that would have made him "Astro Boy".
