    • NOTES (2)

    • ALLUSIONS (14)

      • When Ashleigh and Casey are listening to the walkie talkie, you can hear Beaver say "Go to your home!" This is a line from the movie Happy Gilmore. Happy (Adam Sandler) was having problems putting and he yelled at the ball that it was his home, and to "Go to your home!"

      • The film that Fisher and Ashleigh go to see at his film club meeting is Wild Strawberries, which was written and directed by Ingmar Bergman in 1957.

      • Casey compares her detective skills to that of Nancy Drew after she discovers Cappie and Evan's secret friendship and the Amphora Society's lair. Nancy Drew was a female detective character created by Edward Stratemeyer in the 1930s and published under the pseudonym Caroline Keene.

      • At Comicon there is a concession stand that is called "Princess Leia Sticky Buns". Princess Leia was a character played by Carrie Fisher in George Lucas' Star Wars movies. The sticky buns resemble the hair style worn by her character that Carrie Fisher made famous.

      • At Comicon, Calvin mentions that it costs $75 for a pair of Spock ears. Spock was a Star Trek character originally played by Leonard Nemoy.

      • Ashley says that whenever Casey is around Cappie she turns into the "female Hugh Grant". Hugh Grant is a British actor best known in recent years for his leading roles in numerous romantic comedies.

      • When Casey is upset for being a bad detective, Ashley reminds her that Inspector Gadget needed a dog and a 10 year old girl to help him solve mysteries. Inspector Gadget was a cartoon that ran from 1983-1985 and was followed by a live-action movie starring Matthew Broderick in 1999.

      • Rusty: (when Rusty decides to go to the Ohio Vally Comicon) With great power comes great responsibility.

This is an often misquoted line from The Amazing Spiderman: Issue 1 (Pt. 2). The actual line is "...with great power there must also come -- great responsibility"

      • Even: (As he and Cappie wax the table in the Amphorous Society's lair) Down here? Down here it's our time.

This is a line from the 1985 movie The Goonies starring Cory Feldman and Sean Astin.

      • When Ash and Fisher are trying to decide what to do on their first "back together" date, Ash suggests that they go see Clueless in the theatre. Clueless is a 1995 comedy starring Alicia Silverstone.

      • When Calvin, Rusty and Dale are talking about going out to pick up girls, Dale tells Rusty that they should "drop it like it's hot." "Drop It Like It's Hot" is the name of a 2004 rap song by Snoop Dogg ft. Pharrell.

      • When Rusty is ranting about the new friends that Jordan is making in New York, he wonders if they sit around Central Perk talking about Rachel's baby. Central Perk was the coffee shop that Rachel and the other characters of Friends hung out at. Rachel was played by Jennifer Aniston.

        T-Pain is a popular hip-hop & R&B singer and songwriter.
