Oliver gets the usual runaround from Haney when he complains about the ancient tractor he'd bought. But suddenly, it's a new, honest Haney who offers to buy back the tractor and the "dump" of a farm he sold Oliver. Coincidentally, he's just learned that the Douglas farm is in the path of a proposed new highway. Oliver's soon onto his scheme and decides to make the charlatan squirm.

Haney: (trying to talk Lisa into moving out of their hideous farmhouse) Manys a'time I said said to myself it's a shame to keep a beautiful pigeon like you cooped up in this dump.
Lisa: Manys a'time I said the same thing to Mr. Douglas.
Haney: I'll bet you'd be willing to move at the drop of a hat.
Lisa: Yea, I would, but Mr. Douglas isn't much of a hat dropper.
Oliver (reading his grocery list to Sam) ...and two bottles of chocolate syrup.
Sam: Your wife making chopped chicken liver again?
Mr. Haney: (after Oliver storms out threatening a lawsuit) Well, that's gratitude for you. Forgettin' I'm the one that sold him that beautiful farm at such a low price.
