    • TRIVIA (6)

      ADD TRIVIA
      • The episode's title comes from a conversation between Oliver and Eb. Eb's voice and lip movements are out of synch with each other. He bangs his hand against his head to get them back in synch. Lisa's dog Minon has the same problem.

      • This is the only episode that has Oliver seeing the show's opening credits. (He remarks aloud to himself that Alf and Ralph Monroe don't deserve credit for their carpentry.) Oddly, seeing writing in the air doesn't startle him, and he immediately forgets about it.

      • Oliver's CIA code name is 198.

      • The Ziffels have not paid on their bill at Drucker's General Store in a year and a half.

      • Arnold Ziffel is watching the same Western that is always showing on the Pixley television station.

      • Sam Drucker's French perfume, from France, comes in a barrel. It's $2.50 a gallon with a ten cent deposit on the jug.

    • QUOTES (5)

      ADD QUOTES
      • Doris: (after asking Arnold to turn off the television) That Arnold. If he spent as much time doing his homework as watching TV...

      • (Oliver offers to tell the locals why he's staying) Fred: Now if we say "Why?", is this going to lead into one of those long winded speeches of yours?

      • Oliver: (after noticing "Carpentry by Alf and Ralph Monroe" in the opening credits) They're not supposed to get credit!

      • Mr. Douglas: You want to sue Mr. Ziffel? Newt Kiley: Yeah, his fence is on my property. Mr. Douglas: Are you sure? Newt Kiley: I'm positive, I helped him move it there. Mr. Douglas: Why did you do that? Newt Kiley: So I could sue him.

      • Newt Kiley: Hey, this letter's from Washington, D.C. What's that there D.C. stand for? Fred Ziffel: Department of Congress. Newt Kiley: Oh, I-I knew it had something to do with the government.
