      • Oliver: Would you like to earn five dollars? Haney: (suddenly very interested) Five dollars? Oliver: Ah, yes. All you have to do is get me a telephone operator. Haney: A telephone operator? Doggone if I don't believe that I got one on my truck. Oliver: On your truck? Haney: Just another service of the Haney Curbside Employment Agency. Edit
      • Lisa: (reading the phone company motto that has several letters missing) Ervice Is Ur Mott. Do you know what that means in Hungarian? The customer is chopped liver. Edit
      • Trendell:(informing Oliver that his mother, Sarah the operator, has quit) She wouldn't work for him after he stole the company from me. Oliver: What are you talking about? I didn't steal the company from you. You-you-you gave it to me! Trendell: That's not Mom's version. She's going around telling people how you got me drunk, lured me into a poker game and won the company from me with a marked deck. Oliver: What? Lisa: That's the way he won me from the count. Only that time he did it with loaded dice. Edit
