  • Trivia

    • While making a fast exit from the Secretary of Agriculture's office, Hank Kimball says he's Dooley Hickens from Albuquerque. Dooley Hickens was the name of the county's great crate writer in episode #71 The Thing.

    • Haney posts a sign on the Douglas house saying "Green Acres Inn".

    • In their room, Arnold gets his own bed while Hank and Eb share one.

    • Hank Kimball tells the Secretary of Agriculture's secretary that his full name is Henry Necessary Kimball. Or perhaps it's Henry Narcissus Kimball.

  • Quotes

    • Haney: (blocking the road) Sorry, road's closed.
What happened? (Haney pulls down sign on his truck saying "Bridge Washed Out") What bridge?
Haney: The one they built while you was in Washington.

    • Oliver: (to Kimball in jail) What are you in for?
For one thing, shining the Secretary of Agriculture's nose.

    • Oliver: (to Lisa, who didn't know we'd elected a new president) You voted!
Not president. They don't allow us to vote for a big office like that in Hooterville.

  • Notes

    • Fran Ryan makes her first appearance on the show. She would return the next month, again playing Minnie Holcombe. That fall she would take over the regular role of Doris Ziffel.
