Lisa has named the sunflower by the back door Rudolph.
Chief Thundercloud says he's not allowed back on the reservation because he was made an honorary "paleface" in Milltown, Montana.
At the beginning of the case, Oliver claims Lisa made it rain by watering Rudolph the sunflower. At the end, he claims it was the act of Chief Thundercloud washing his car that made it pour.
Haney: (to Oliver, after several more days of drought) Off your knees Mr. Douglas, you don't have to beg.
Oliver: I'm not begging! I'm fixing my tractor.
(Fangworth takes off his coat and struts around the courtroom while snapping his suspenders)
Oliver: What's he doing?
Haney: Warmin' up. Ain't that a great imitation of Spencer Tracy? The judge's fav-o-rite actor.
Haney: (to Lisa, arriving in court) Doggone, you look as good as a 350-dollar judgement against your husband.
Diller Fangworth is doing his Spencer Tracy impression when he struts around coatless, popping his suspenders. Tracy behaves this way when he portrays lawyer Henry Drummond in the 1960 film Inherit the Wind, based on the infamous Scopes Monkey Trial.
