    • 1x14 - Guy!

Seeing Guy Gardner show up made me entire too happy. I was reduced to squeaky happy noises. And Hal's jealousy over how much everyone liked Guy? Too awesome and hilarious for words. This was a really good episode.

      • Guy Gardner

Guy Gardner first appeared in Green Lantern (vol. 2) #59 (March 1968), and was created by John Broome and Gil Kane. When Abin Sur, the Green Lantern of Earth's space sector, crashed on Earth, Hal Jordan was closer and thus Abin Sur chose him as his successor. Gardner was designated Earth's backup Green Lantern. After a power battery exploded, he received brain damage and became a much more macho-aggressive figure. He later used Sinestro's yellow power ring, and then he gained the power to generate physical weapons from his own body. He eventually rejoined the Green Lantern Corps and serves as an honored member.

      • Injoke: McDuffie's Bar is named after the late DC comic book writer Dwayne McDuffie.
