  • Great comedy with sweetness.

    8.8
Filled with great comedy moments from beginning to end.

Firstly, it was great to have Mac back, even if he was "missing" for only an episode. Of course, it was fantastic to see him interacting with Guy again with their endless competitions to be one up on each other. High-fives can become great matters of debate, and one must never forget the Spoon of Destiny.

Secondly, there were lovely moments like when Mac was listing his top 5 most important qualities in a woman to Caroline (nicely contrasted with Guy's top 5), and when Caroline was singing "You Really Got Me" in an attempt to attract Mac (which really worked, if only she knew!).

Thirdly, I enjoyed watching Boyce and Dr. Statham on the potty putty and on the whole "feathery" issue.

And a great round of applause to Guy's entrance into the movie... a great way to get to work, though not the best thing for swans!moreless
  • While not as good as last week's installment, this epsiode still packed a nice comic punch.

    8.6
Mac's back at work, Guy can't drive and Statham is at his neurotic sex-obsessed best, yes, it's business as usual at the Green Wing. The return of Mac meant that we got to see the brilliant exchanges between he and Guy once again, something which I think the writers were aware of and as such they were slightly overused. Similarly Statham's obsession with Joanna and more importantly with having sex did get a bit tedious, but the closing taxi sequence more than made up for it.

The central plotline of Caroline trying to get Mac to like her (again) was really nicely done, in particular the ideal woman sequence, which was one of several laugh out loud moments. It'll be interesting to see how this story arc is developed throughout the series, but it's certainly looking promising at the moment.

Moment of the week has to go Joanna being unable to relax when seeing the therapist, not only a fabulous bit of physical comedy, but also a real incite into the character.

All in all this epsiode probably wasn't as good as last week, but it certainly kept the laughs coming and showed that despite what some critics think, the show is still as good as it ever was.moreless
