  • Everyone gets their moment in this very special episode.

The series keeps getting better. Thankfully, the aftermath of last weeks events weren\'t too heavily handled, and instead they were used to allow the story to progress. Caroline and Mac\'s decision to end things before they started was a really touching scene that contrasted beautifully with the humour of Guy\'s discovery of real feelings for Caroline- the performance of the episode, as it gave us a chance to see a different side of Guy.

Introducing a new love interest for Caroline was an interesting move, something which the cynic in me feels was to stir the plot up even more, but which was entertaining nevertheless. The tamogotchi sequence in particular was very good and Guy enacting his jealousy was a brilliant moment after the doctor isn\'t good enough for our Caroline - although having said that neither is Guy!

Martin\'s search for his father was a really nice storyline, although not one that was ever really resolved, but the telephone jokes were very funny- which probably makes me seem very childish! I still can\'t help but feel that Martin has become something of a fringe character in the series, however, this said I think his storylines have generally been very entertaining.

Finally, I think the storyline of the week has to belong to Statham and Joanna. What initially started out as a quite irritating Statham set piece (\"X-ray Charles\") turned hilariously sinister as Joanna\'s attempt at taking him down a peg or two backfired miraculously. Hopefully the consequences of the dwarficide will be a feature of the remaining two episodes of the series as Statham and Joanna are at their very best when on the screen together, Pippa Haywood and Mark Heap have excellent screen chemistry and it would be a shame to waste it.moreless
  • Guy tops himself with an attack on Caroline's' date, making me laugh so much I cried. Joanna and Dr. Statham's incident brings a little too much seriousness to the story. Holly is sugar-coated evil with her innocent plotting to keep Mac all to herself.moreless

I had to watch this episode twice because I laughed so hard the first time through I thought I might have missed something. *SPOILER ALERTS*

This episode has made it official: Guy has to be the second worst character in the history of television, right after Cartman from South Park. But at least he now genuinely likes Caroline and doesn't just fancy getting into her pants anymore. He just has to keep her away from this new guy who's been hitting on her, Jake from therapy. Guy throws his swiss army knife keychain (knife extended)from the second floor window and lodges it in jake head! OMG!

Poor Jake, Caroline had also managed to kill his 12-year old Tamagotchi by dropping it in her wine. Caroline will be lucky if Jake still wants to see her after that date, he's nice and pretty good looking despite the girly headband. And someone needs to put Guy in his place, seriously.

Oooh, that Holly! So effectively taking advantage of Mac's good nature, and ruining any moments Mac has with Caroline. I can only hope Sue takes care of her somehow, Holly is sugar-coated evil the way she's been manipulating him.

It's interesting to see how they keep the families looking alike: Martin and Guy's hair are almost exactly the same style. And Martin's real dad must be the actor's relative or something because the resemblance is uncanny. Little Mackenzie dressed up as a doctor looks like an anime-style Chibi-Mac, so cute.

Overall, the quality of this episode was varied. Guy's stuff was spot on, even wilder than usual, as was Caroline's. The incident with the midget, Joanna and Dr. Statham was kind of disappointing, too serious for the series. Harriet comes alive more than usual, but somehow Lyndon is still no more than the token black. The HR staff's pet Turk is mildly entertaining, up to the usual speed of their antics.moreless
