Gil needs to find someone to sing a friendship song with Dottie, but Warren, Blah and Jack all refuse, because they find her too needy. So, at Jack's recommendation, Gil sticks it on Greg. Greg is nervous when Dottie invites him to her place to rehearse (because only really good friends can sing a friendship song together), and he treats the event as if it's a romantic date -- much like Dottie treats it. But Greg chickens out after he shows up, and tells her he just wants to be friends. And friends they are, as they spend the night bouncing up and down on her bed and shooting each other with water pistols. Dottie has so much fun on her friend date with Greg that she realizes how important it is to have friends, instead of cheap, meaningless sex, like she usually has. Even though nothing happened between the two, the rest of the staff assume they did have cheap, meaningless sex when they arrive together on the set the next morning. And when pressed for comment on what they did, Greg relays the story of how they broke her bed and he nailed her. After Warren and the others figure out that he isn't talking about sex, they laugh at him, goading him into bragging that he and Dottie did have sex -- which Dottie overhears. When she breaks down crying during the performance of the friendship song and locks herself in the bathroom, Greg makes it up to her by telling everybody that nothing happened between them. Meanwhile, Jack and the other puppets get trashed during an all-night poker game, and Jimmy tries to hit on Alison, who's more creeped out by him than anything.
