Greg the Bunny

Season 1 Episode 8

Father & Son Reunion

Aired Wednesday 7:30 PM Jun 05, 2002 on FOX

  • Trivia

  • Quotes

    • Greg: Well, when you think about it, father-son relationships are a lot like omelets. You know, the more you put into them, the better they're going to be. Nobody likes them when they're cold, and if you want to make a good one, sometimes you got to break a few eggs.

    • Warren: Listen, I need to fill some seats tonight. Uh, how'd you like come to my play?
Tardy: I like to play with Warren.
Warren: No, uh, Tardy. I will be in a play. You understand? Performing.
Tardy: I'm not 'upposed to eat the Legos.
Warren: Oh, God. It's like talking to Keanu Reeves.

    • Gil: I'm losing everything. Sandy and I are getting a divorce.
      Blah: You're kidding. What happened?
Gil: Oh, you know, she says I spend too much time in the office. Uh, you know, uh, I'm not affectionate enough. Uh, I'm distant. Uh, I pat my fingers too much. You know, I'm cheap. Uh, I breathe funny. You know, I don't listen. Who knows what she's saying half the time.

    • Greg: (voiceover) History is filled with fathers and sons who just can't get along. Oedipus and Mr. Oedipus. Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. Son of Sam and Sam. You know, it makes you wonder if fathers and sons will always be destined to collide.

    • Jimmy: I don't know if this is going to work.
Greg: Dude, it's time travel. How hard could it be? If I'm successful, I will go back to 1988 and stop them from making Back to the Future 3.

    • Warren: Why is there so much wrong and so little right? Where have the saints gone marching tonight? What won't you do for the almighty buck?
Jimmy: Is it just me, or does this thing suck?

  • Notes

    • This is the first produced episode to feature Greg's glass eyes, all the previous episodes had him with his origional button eyes.

    • This is the only episode not containing outtakes during the closing credits. Instead, the credits are run over a still shot of the cast gathered together (from the opening credits). Whereas the other 12 episodes feature an instrumental closing theme playing over the outtakes, this one features a closing theme with vocals.

    • Warren's monologue was originally a part of the unaired pilot. The scene was axed, shortened, reshot, and inserted into this episode.

    • This was the first episode shot upon return from production hiatus.

    • Donna Kimball is credited as Donna M. Kimball.

    • Although she is listed as a star, Sarah Silverman doesn't appear.

    • Clips from the egg-throwing scene were used to promote the series' special airing on Easter Sunday after The Simpsons. "SK-2.0" was the episode that they chose to air there.

    • Music: "Pinhead" by The Ramones

  • Allusions

    • Greg: If I am successful, I will go back to 1998 and stop them from making Back To The Future 3.

Back to the Future Part III was the third and final film of the series, released only 6 months after the 2nd installment.

    • Greg: On Sanford and Son, Red Fox called Demond a big dummy all the time.

Sanford and Son was a 70s sitcom about a father and son who worked together at a junkyard.

    • Gil: Wassuuuuup? Isn't that the commercial you kids love so much?

The commercial Gil is referring to would be the famous TV and radio campaign from Budweiser (Anheuser-Busch) beer during the early 2000s.

    • Snookums: Gosh, comforting each other is so very nice.
Snookums is a parody of the Snuggle® Bear. This explains why he has explosive diarrhea.
