First of all i want to say that i think George is being a complete and total a**. I understand that his father is having surgery and that he (George) is nervous, and i would have requested a different doctor as well to do the surgery. However, he does not need to keep treating everyone like crap, with his over zealous attitude on his crusade against Izzie, Callie and Cristina. These people are his friends, and it seems he keeps treating them like crap, and then apologizes later on hoping they will forgive him. Well, human beings can only take so much, so he'll only be able to burn that bridge a few more times before people get fed up with it. I think he handled the situation with Callie wrong too, especially when she took a huge step bringing the truth to him. I wonder if he had any idea how hard that was for her. Also telling her basically that she had no place caring about his family, that was just a bunch of BS. Another person being a complete selfish punk this episode is Burke. After everything Cristina has done for him, stood by him, helped him with his surgeries, he's going to treat her that way? What an arrogant, ungrateful SOB. I could not believe how he treated her this episode. I was thinking to myself "How dare you make her feel that way?" He dragged her into this mess to begin with. She had no choice, she loved the man and was doing it to help HIM, and he knew it. Then he treats her like crap in the O.R., and he wants to throw her out after he acted like a lifeless, inhumane piece of dirt? What a crock. So Izzie still has to shadow people because of her probation. I think what George said about her to his parents, bringing up the whole Denny thing was totally uncalled for. I wonder when she'll be able to actually perform something again. Miranda is her usual self in this episode. I felt bad for the old couple. I thought the girl with the shard of glass in her heart was kind of funny, the things she said. On a happier note, although Derek was upset with Meredith at first for not telling him about Burke (who, she had just found out herself), their relationship seems to be going pretty well.moreless

This is my favorite episode of the entire 3rd season. This is a great episode with wonderful performances by all the cast members. Particurally Sandra Oh and Isiah Washington! This episode really belongs to them. Sandra Oh provides a wonderful and almost chilling voice over as she prepares to turn Burke in. Besides that, we've got Mr. O'Malley in the hospital. Plus, we get a visit from future show regular, Dr. Hahn! One of my favorite parts of this episode is when Callie starts to beat up Meredith when she thinks that Meredith told George that she slept with Mark. This is Grey's Anatomy at its finest.moreless

I thought I would have a lot to say about this episode, but it's left me speechless. It was absolutely brilliant! I've felt the tension from the very beginning, and untill the very end. Cristina did the right thing telling the chief. What she and Preston did was very irresponsible, but she at least decided to stop. I'm glad Meredith and Derek worked things out at the end.

George was a complete ass. I mean, I can partially understand why he is behaving like this, but still... Maybe Callie deserved it, but Izzie certainly didn't. I'm not sure I would be able to forgive him if I were her.

And one other thing... Did Addison and Alex have a thing for a moment there?moreless
  • One word: AMAZING.

I just watched this episode on DVD, and I just can say WOW. This episode was tremendously freaking good. The blood, the sighs, the Cristina's Voice-over, the O'Malley desperation; everything fell into place to make an awesome episode, that now is on the top of my Grey's list. I really liked the almost no-music thing throughout the episode, the lack of sound really made an impression of drama, and the 3 songs that were featured uncovered the tearjerking face of this episode. A magnific work by all the cast, and, certainly, by the writer and director. So, to sum up, the whole hour was clearly unique, and it's going to be an unforgettable event for me, and I hope for everyone else too.moreless
  • Wow! Let's talk 'bout tension! The episode with most tension in this season. It was a mix, it had some 02x06 "Into you like a train" stuff and some of 02x24"Damage case" stuff as well.moreless

TENSION, JUST LOVE IT! It was perfect from beginning to end. I loved everything of this episode. Cristina and Burke, that was the best part, I loved them arguing and questioning what they were doing. Cristina made the most clever move she has ever made, it was right to tell the chief about Burke, I would have done the same, but maybe earlier. And Dr Hahn, I love her! Honest, cold, passionate for her work, really, that's a real doctor. And Mer, finally, at the end of the episode, she caved! Izzie, I liked her performance here, it was really good to see her being herself in front of George's parents. I wouldn't have done different, and George really crossed the line, there are some things that are not supossed to be said, that was mean. I can't find more flaws of the episode, because the rest was just amazing, even the few music that was shown. I've seen better episodes, though this is in the top 5 of Grey's Anatomy (4º for me). Awesome episode. 9.74moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • Goof: In the beginning scenes, when the interns are in the ER, Meredith calls a time of death at 7:53, however, minutes later Mark is treating a patient and his watch reads 10:00.

    • Goof: When Cristina is squirted with blood in the operating room, moments later it is in a different pattern on her mask.

    • Goof: As Cristina is walking out of the OR covered in blood, the spot of blood above her left eyebrow disappears and reappears between shots.

  • QUOTES (34)

    • Cristina (opening voiceover): As doctors, we know everybody's secrets. Their medical histories. Sexual histories. Confidential information that is as essential to a surgeon as a ten-blade, and every bit as dangerous. We keep secrets, we have to, but not all secrets can be kept.

    • Izzie (about George's parents): They're just confused, y'know, wondering why a stranger is operating on your dad's heart and they both wanna know why and I have no idea what to tell them.
George (to Cristina who is walking by): Cristina! Tell Izzie why Dr. Hahn is doing my dad's surgery instead of Dr. Burke. (Cristina is silent) Go on.
Cristina: Look, Dr. Hahn is in an incredible surgeon your father is in great hands. And nothing else matters.
George: You're wrong. There's a lotta people with fathers in this hospital and it does matter to them who their doctor is. (Cristina walks away)
Izzie: George, I-- I know that this is scary and I understand that but Burke-- I didn't come back until I was ready-- Preston Burke is ready.
George: Look, I-- I just can't talk to you about this, it's just none of your business and just please, please stay outta this.
Izzie: What do I do about your parents?
George: You don't have to do anything about my parents, your job is to watch, remember? (Izzie glares at him) I'm sorry.

    • Mr. O'Malley: Hey Izzie. Honey, this is Izzie.
      Izzie: Hi.
Mrs. O'Malley: Oh yes! One of the girls who lives with Georgie. At some kind of set-up there.
Mr. O'Malley: It's not some kind of set-up. It's like what they do these days. Men and women live together without being, y'know men and women. It's a mutual thing.
      Mrs. O'Malley: So, nothing sexual?
      George (loudly): Mom!
Izzie (laughs): No, nothing sexual. Where are the other O'Malley men today?
Mr. O'Malley: I told them to go back to work. They were climbing the walls in here.
Izzie: Well, I'm gonna prep you for surgery today. As you know, Dr. Burke is surgeon.
Mrs. O'Malley: Dr. Burke right. George is always saying Dr. Burke this, Dr. Burke that.
Izzie: Yeah, he's pretty incredible. He's one of the best cardiothoracic guys in the world. (George gets paged)
George: I have to go. I'll be right back.
Izzie: You're not even working today, why are you getting paged?
George: I have to go. (leaves)
Mrs. O'Malley: You're pretty. (Izzie laughs) There's nothing sexual between you and George? Not even a little bit?
      Mr. O'Malley: Louise!
Mrs. O'Malley: What? I just want George to be happy.
Izzie: Okay. Let's just prep you for surgery.

    • Izzie: Do you mind me asking why you guys switched from Dr. Burke to Dr. Hahn?
Mr. O'Malley: No, we didn't. Georgie did.
      Izzie: Did he say why?
      Mr. O'Malley: Not really, no.
Mrs. O'Malley: Did George and Dr. Burke maybe have a falling out?
Izzie: Not that I know of.
Mrs. O'Malley (smiling): Then is something going on with George and Dr. Hahn?
Mr. O'Malley (exasperated): Oh, here with go again.
Izzie (laughs): No, there's nothing going on with George and Dr. Hahn.
Mr. O'Malley: I already told her Dr. Torres is the one that loves George.
Mrs. O'Malley (to Mr. O'Malley): Then why did Dr. Torres break up with him? (to Izzie) Why did Dr. Torres break up with him? I mean, between us.
Izzie (leans in closer): Well, how much did George tell you?
Mrs. O'Malley: Everything. I'm his mother.
Izzie: Okay, then you know that Callie is a little bit out there. (laughs) I mean I have seen more of that girl's body than I have with my own and she's a little too much information for me. I mean nobody needs to be naked that often. (George's parents look shocked) He didn't tell you that? Um, I dunno why they broke up. George seemed to really like her and he kinda needed her. I mean, you remember the whole George and Meredith thing.
Mr. O'Malley: Wait! George and Meredith?
Mrs. O'Malley (smiles happily): I knew it.
Izzie: George didn't tell you that either?
Mrs. O'Malley: First Meredith, then Dr. Torres and now this Dr. Hahn.
Mr. O'Malley: O'Malley men are studs!
Mrs. O'Malley: He's no stud. He's just very handsome.
Izzie (amused): Okay people, focus. George is not dating Erica Hahn.

    • Cristina: It was both our idea, to rob the bank. It was both of us.
      Meredith: I know.
Cristina: It's just-- (sighs) I couldn't do it anymore. It wasn't--
Meredith: You did the right thing.
Cristina: Yeah? And then how come I walked across the parking lot and realized that I couldn't go home? But where am I supposed to go?

    • (Derek is laying in bed facing away from Meredith)
Derek: You watched his hands move through surgery... you knew.
Meredith: I can't say anything. There are things Cristina told me-- she's my friend, I can't say anything.
Derek: No, no that is not how this works. How could you know what you know, or suspect it and not even tell me?
Meredith: You cleared him for surgery Derek. How did you not know? You can't be angry with me. She's my best friend, and right or wrong she...
      Derek: What?
Meredith: She was there when you weren't. (Derek sighs and turns over to face her. They look at each other for a minute then start to kiss passionately)

    • Erica: They're all gonna be so jealous back at Seattle Presbyterian.
      Derek: Why's that?
Erica: Scrubbing in with Derek Shepherd, the genius who saved Preston Burke when he almost got his arm shot off. Major jealously.
Derek (to Meredith): You hear that? I'm a genius.
      Meredith: Of course you are.
      Derek: She was serious.
      Meredith: Mmhmm.

    • Bailey: I need all hands on deck.
Izzie: All hands. Does that mean all hands? (points to them) Or just all hands?
Bailey: Oh, Stevens…uh, you shouldn't have been paged. You can go and take over on Mr. O'Malley, he's having surgery today with Dr. Burke.
Cristina: Uh, that's my case, I'm with Burke.
Bailey: You have traumas rolling into the pit, she can take over for you.
Izzie: So I can scrub in? Thanks.
Bailey: Stevens, you will not scrub in. You will not handle any instruments. You will not move or talk or do anything other than breathe and watch.
Izzie (faking excitement): Candy stripin' again. No problem.

    • Derek: I would've helped you if you told me. (Burke is silent) Burke?
      Burke: I cannot. It's been a long day and…. I just cannot.
Derek: I thought you were my friend.
Burke: And I thought you were my surgeon.

    • George: We broke up. You broke up with me. Am I missing something?
Callie: It doesn't mean-- I'm just asking about your dad.
George: Why? Why do you care?
Callie: Because I care about you.
George: Right. Well, I guess that's why you slept with Mark Sloan. Makes sense. (walks away)

    • Mark (to Addison): I love the boss in you, boss more.

    • Richard (to Erica): I'll escort you. And you can tell me what it would take to steal you away from Seattle Presbyterian. We could use an extra hand.

    • Meredith: What do you think Burke can't operate with out you? (Cristina is silent) Oh, my, God, Cristina.
      Cristina: Shut up.
Meredith: He can't operate without you.
Cristina: If you ever gave a crap about me in anyway you will shut your mouth and get back into that OR.

    • Callie: We were broken up, as in not together.
George: I can't do this now.
Callie: I slept with Mark to get over you. And guess what? It didn't work. It was a mistake. But I did not betray you George, I wouldn't-- I would never do that.
George: I can't do this now!

    • Burke: Why are you acting like the sky is falling?
Cristina: The sky isn't falling. It already fell. George knows.
Burke: I was in surgery for fourteen hours yesterday and no tremor.
Cristina: Yeah, with me by your side ready to jump in.
      Burke: I haven't had a tremor in a week.
Cristina: George knows. And this is not any surgery. You're operating on his father.
Burke: I am aware of that and I am fine.
Cristina: Well, he's going to do something. I know him. He's not gonna just stand by and say nothing.
Burke: There's nothing to say. I had a tremor and now I don't.
Cristina: We need a strategy. We have to figure out our story and come up with a plan.
Burke (smiles): Cristina, you are too intense.
Cristina: I am too intense? I have been working my ass off making sure nobody here knows. Running your board, learning surgical procedures I shouldn't have to know until my fifth year covering you.
Burke: You're covering me? And I haven't been covering you?
      Cristina (incredulous): Excuse me?
Burke (sighs): I'm just saying. We're a team. A strong team. And I wouldn't be in that OR if I didn't know I could do it. And you just have to trust me on that and don't let this O'Malley thing break you down.

    • Richard: Mr. O'Malley elected to have Dr. Hahn perform his valve replacement.
Cristina: But what about Dr. Burke?
Richard: Dr. Burke has been replaced.

    • Burke: Well, so what if he replaced me with Dr. Hahn? I'm no longer on his father's surgery. That's a good thing if it means you stop obsessing.
Cristina: George didn't just replace you. He told the Chief. The Chief knows. I mean, for all we know Erica Hahn is being considered for the new head of cardio. And the chief asked me to tell you that he has something important to talk to you about.
      Burke: Oh, okay.
Cristina: So we need to align our stories.
Burke: This is why I don't like covering for you. I don't have any stories, that's not me.
Cristina: Oh, I'm sorry, you think it's me. That's not fair.
Burke: The deal is done. The chief wants to talk to me, so I will talk to him. I am not telling him a story Cristina. I'm gonna tell him the truth.

    • Cristina: This is good. This is good right? It means that George didn't say anything...
Burke: I'm going to be chief.
      Cristina: ...about your tremor, right?
Burke: I'm going to be chief of surgery at Seattle Grace Hospital.
Cristina: Why do you sound like that?
Burke: Because I am going to be chief of surgery at Seattle Grace Hospital!
Cristina: This is what you've worked for. This is what you've wanted. Now I can work harder. I can learn more procedures. I will do whatever you need. Right now, nobody knows. I mean, yes, the fact that George hasn't told the chief yet doesn't mean that he won't. We can deal with that, I'll talk to him, or you can talk to him. And once you're chief, it won't matter because you'll be chief. Okay, this... this is good. Nobody will ever know.
Burke: I'll know! I can't be chief, not now, not like this. Do you know how long I've wanted this? My entire career. And when I finally get it…there's blood on it. I had a tremor and I didn't say anything about it. It's unimaginable, unethical, dishonorable, I've crossed the line.
Cristina: We crossed the line. Together. I crossed the line with you.
Burke (angry): You dragged me to cross the line. You made us a team. You told Shepherd I was fine. You said nobody has to know. I was out there on my own. You made us a team.
Cristina: I did what you needed me to do. You were standing there looking at me telling me your whole life was your hands, if you couldn't operate, you couldn't be Preston Burke.
Burke: That was your concern, not mine!
Cristina: Oh no, no, no, no, you put that on me. (long pause) When you got shot, I walked away. And you cannot let that go, can you? I'm sticking now. I'm sticking. Do you know how tired I am? Do you know how scared I am every time we go into surgery? But I do it, for you.
Burke: Do you know how scared I am when we go into surgery? I don't have to just worry about my career now. I have to put yours on my back too.
      Cristina: We are a team!
Burke: There is no team. There is no team! There is only me once again, making allowances for your emotional shortcomings! (long pause)
Cristina: Okay, we shouldn't say anymore.
      Burke: No, (pause) we shouldn't.

    • Erica: Preston Burke. Back from the dead. Can't say the same for your patient.

    • Burke: Anything you would have done different, Dr. Hahn?
Erica: Given the size of the wound, I would've given up sooner. So how have you been, Preston? Last time I saw you, you stole my patient's heart. Then you got shot. Karma rocks.
Burke: What brings you all the way from Seattle Presbyterian to Seattle Grace?
Erica: A consult. And knowing how much my being here would annoy you.
Burke: Oh, on the contrary. It's always a pleasure. Though not as much as when you leave.

    • Janelle: The doctors...hot men...they're all really hot...they are, aren't they? It's not just cause I'm wearing a plate glass window?
      Addison: Nope, they're man candy.
      Janelle: Good...

    • Mark (to Alex): I'd consider leaving that alone until she goes into the OR.
Janelle: Yeah about that, when's that gonna happen because there's a big shard of glass stuck in my heart, y'know.
Alex: You'd be surprised how long people can live with stuff stuck inside their bodies-- glass, shrapnel, bullets.
Mark: I saw a guy once with half a chair leg in his chest, that was one hell of a splinter.
      Janelle: Can we focus here?

    • Janelle: That's pretty much a sign that I should have this baby, right? Even without a father.
      Addison: Everyone has a father.
Mark: Not if she doesn't tell him.
Janelle: You think I should tell him? Everyone says I'm wrong. He's scum and now I'm the bad guy because I don't want him in my kids life, right? That's what you're thinking?
Alex: My thing is, what about the kid? I mean, what happens when he's six or seven and he wants to meet his dad?
Mark: Karev, that's none of your business, okay?
      Alex: She asked, okay?
      Janelle: He cheated on me.
Alex: That makes him an ass. Doesn't mean that you have to be one. (Addison looks thoughtfully at him)

    • Mr. O'Malley: We appreciate everything that you've done for us.
Mrs. O'Malley: All the strings that you pulled with Dr. Burke and Dr. Hahn.
Mr. O'Malley: The last thing that we wanna do is cause trouble, 'cause we've heard how much stress you've been under.
Mrs. O'Malley: First with you and Meredith then with you and Callie.
      George: Izzie!
      Izzie: I thought they knew.
Mr. O'Malley: I hope you won't be mad, but we rescheduled the surgery for tomorrow---
Mrs. O'Malley: ---because we're sticking with Dr. Burke.
George (to Izzie): What did you say to them?
      Mr. O'Malley: We asked her.
George: I asked you to stay out of this!
Izzie: I just told them what I thought--
      George: Get out!
Mr. O'Malley: George, you don't talk like that to anyone.
George: Dad, did Dr. Stevens tell you that she's on probation because the last time she was allowed to interact with patients someone died? (long pause)
Izzie (to his parents): It was really nice to see both of you.

    • George: He's my dad. And I'm scared. You of all people know what it's like when you have somebody you love in the hospital---
Izzie: No. You do not get to bring up Denny to me ever gain, do you understand?
      George: I'm sorry.
Izzie: Don't try to apologize, not now. Not yet.
      George: Okay.
Izzie (walks over and sits on the couch next to him): Maybe tomorrow.
      George: Okay.

    • Cristina (closing voiceover): In some ways, betrayal is inevitable. When our bodies betray us, surgery is often the key to recovery. When we betray each other, when we betray each other, the path to recovery is less clear. We do whatever it takes to rebuild the trust that was lost. And then there are some wounds, some betrayals…that are so deep, so profound that there is no way to repair what was lost. And when that happens, there's nothing left to do but wait.

    • Burke: Richard's planning to retire. And he's recommending that the board name me the next chief of surgery.

    • George: Hey. How's my dad?
Izzie: George, your ex is hardcore. Passionate, but hardcore.
George: Yeah, I know. How is my dad?
      Izzie: Fine.
George: And my mom? Is she driving you crazy? Has she offered to iron your scrubs? She does that. She offers to iron things. Weird things.

    • Meredith: Hey Callie, I was gonna come and find you. What did you want to talk to me about?
Callie (rolling up her sleeves): Panties.
      Izzie: Ahh…Callie, what'cha up to?
Callie: I'm gonna kick Meredith's ass right now. (she throws Meredith against the lockers)
Meredith: Get off me! (pushes Callie off of her)
Callie: I kept your secrets, I was discreet! I was a really good friend to you and I didn't have to be. And then go and do this?! (throws her against the lockers again)
      Meredith: Do what?!
Izzie: Hey Callie, use your words! Use your words, Callie!
Callie: Panties, Meredith! I'm talkin' about the McFrickin' code of silence pair of panties I pulled off the bulletin board. Not to mention the adulterous McSex I witnessed, you remember that?
Izzie (gets between Meredith and Callie): Hey, hey, hey! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, but she's very little and you're hurting her!
Callie: You told George! My night with McSteamy was not yours to share!
Izzie: That's what this is about? Your sex with McSteamy?
      Callie: You told Izzie!
      Izzie and Meredith: No! No!
Mededith: Callie! You told me you slept with someone. You never said it was Sloan. George told me it was Sloan.
Callie: George? George told you…who told George?
Izzie: Maybe perhaps the guy you slept with?
Callie: George thinks I betrayed him, and I didn't. I didn't we were broken up.
Meredith: Well, then. Go. Tell. George. (Callie leaves)
Izzie: Dude, she went all cage fighter on you! (Izzie and Meredith laugh)
      Meredith: I know!

    • Addison: She collapsed in my arms. I just want to make sure she's okay. You got it from here?
Mark: They don't call me "doctor" for nothin'. (Addison rolls her eyes and walks away)
Janelle: Mr. Dickerson is such a nice man. I hope he didn't kill my baby.
      Mark (yelling): Addison? She's pregnant.

    • Derek (doing a crossword puzzle in bed): Six letter word for pinnacle?
      Meredith: Zenith
Derek: Oh this is good. No sex, crossword puzzles, current events, when does the knitting start?
Meredith (laughs): Shut up! Good things come to those who wait.
Derek: Yeah, I want sex. (pulls Meredith towards him)
Meredith: There will be no sex. (hugs Derek and laughs)
Cristina (barging in after one knock): Am I interrupting sex?
      Derek: No.
      Cristina: Good, get out.
Derek: What? You can't ask me to leave.
      Cristina: Meredith?
Meredith (to Derek): Give us a second. (they kiss and fall back onto the bed)
Derek: When I get back there had better be some sex. (leaves)
Meredith (to Cristina): Why are you all sweaty and ick?
      Cristina: I jogged here.
Meredith: We don't jog, you don't jog. (long pause) Cristina?
Cristina: What if Derek robbed a bank?
      Meredith: What?
Cristina: Say Derek was robbing a bank, and while he was in there you were waiting outside because it was your job to drive the getaway car.
Meredith: Why would Derek rob a bank?
Cristina: Just go with me please.
Meredith: Okay, Derek's robbing a bank.
Cristina: And he gets caught, but no one knows you were involved, 'cause you were driving the car.
Meredith: Okay, Derek's in jail, I'm in the mystery car, what's the question?
Cristina: Would you turn yourself in, or would you stay quiet and let Derek go down for a robbery in which you were a complicit participant? Or would you, you know, stand by him?
Meredith: Well, who's idea was it to rob the bank?
Cristina: I don't know, I don't know. His! But, you helped. Could you live with yourself? If you just walked away and let the man you love take the fall?
Meredith: If you tell me, maybe I can help. If you tell me.
Cristina (getting out of bed): You know, I'll see you at work.
Meredith: Cristina, you don't jog, we don't jog!
Cristina: Has George said anything to you?
      Meredith: About what?
Cristina: I jog, sometimes, without you. (leaves)

    • Cristina (walks downstairs and sees George): How's your Dad?
      George: His surgery's today.
Cristina: You have nothing to worry about.
George: I'm not worried. Not anymore.
Cristina: What do you mean by that? (Izzie walks in)
Izzie: Hey. So you and Meredith were having on of your "we're best friends, we're so cool" secret time things. Sorry, I'm cranky. Candy stripin' makes me so cranky.
George: Cristina's leaving. (Derek, hearing this, walks in)
Derek: Ah, so I can have my girlfriend back. (Derek goes up to Meredith's room; Cristina leaves)
Izzie: What's wrong with her? (George walks away; Izzie hears Meredith and Derek giggling upstairs and smirks)

    • Meredith: Don't mention Cristina to Burke. It's just not a good idea.
Derek: Yeah, well, what'd you talk about this morning?
Meredith: Bank robberies. Which really isn't the point because she was jogging and-- just cut her some slack today, okay? Not that I should interfere.
Derek: But you're going to anyway.
Meredith: I'm just going to ask once. Very nicely. (smiles and tilts shoulder towards Derek) Please? (Derek shakes his head and Meredith moves her shoulders back and forth) Please? Please?
Derek: You know what says thank you like nothing else? (Meredith smiles. Derek mouths inaudibly) Sex.
      Meredith (laughs): I'm leaving now.

    • Alex (abour Janelle): Do you think she'll call the guy-- the dad?
Addison: No, it takes more than a well meaning speech to get a girl to make a commitment like that. I appreciate it though, your take, it was surprising.
      Alex: Surprising?
Addison: Well, for a Mark Sloan protégée.
Alex (laughs): Lackey. I dabbed blood all day.
Addison: You're a decent guy, Alex. I'd hate to see Sloan beat that out of you. (long pause as they share very meaningful look, which becomes embarrassment) Anyway...
      Alex (smiles sheepishly): Yeah, thanks.
