  • The Episode With The Grey's Anatomy Ingredient!

This is what made Grey's Anatomy Grey's Anatomy! The chemistry that is created between Shepherd and Meredith is back and makes me all excited again. Then, there is this Avery and Keppner 'magic'. It must be said though that this Avery-Keppner story unfolding must not be allowed to become frivolous or inconsequential. After all, it pretty much was how Meredith and Derek started. And the Arizona and Alex storyline tugs heartstrings of anyone that has followed this series. Cristina's scene was a pleasant surprise, as well. Personally, I do not want to not see Derek in the OR again saying 'It's a beautiful night to save lives'. It will be an injustice to this character and making him simply become a teacher - as a permanent storyline - is like changing a cornerstone! I cannot wait how Derek's role unfolds. Overall, this episode had just the right 'Grey' humor, cynicism and truthfulness leaving its viewers wanting more. Just as it was when they aired Season 1.moreless

Episode 4 was another great installment, so far this season does not disappoint. Everybody is slowly picking up their lives after the chrash. The most enjoyment came from watching Christina bond with the ancient Dr. Thomas. These are two strong characters, ever since their first run in it was almost clear that they would have an impact on each others lives. Christina stepping up to help her new besty was just precious.

The bonding proces was not limited to those two, Arizona is trying hard to get it together. At first it seemed like she would continue on her bitter and solitary path, but after a chat with Alex she reached out to Callie. There's hope for them yet.

Catherine Avery was back at the hospital by invitation from Webber. These two just match and are so much fun to watch. Jackson stepping up to give the chief the "don't hurt my mom or else speech" was cute, however Webber showed his badass side and told him to 'deal with it'.

Of course Baily and Webber had their special connection moment, gotta love those!

Meredith and Derek are solid, he just had to tell her that he wasn't going to run off to the woods and grow a beard.

Looking forward to the rest of the season.

    • Intern: So, how do we get the entire mass without having to resect the aorta?
      Meredith: I have no idea.
Bailey: Yeah, I'm happy to take this off your hands.
Meredith: I called you for an opinion... not to steal my surgery.
Bailey: No first year attending in her right mind is gonna wanna take on something like this. I mean, not when full responsibility for every decision (Meredith starts tapping her shoulder) made in the OR falls on her shoulders...
      Meredith: Mine!

    • Dr. Thomas: (addressing an elderly patient) Janet, believe me, I know exactly how you feel.
Cristina: Because he's old. Very, very old.
Dr. Thomas: Don't mistake dr. Yang's disrespect for a sense of humor. She hasn't got one. (the patient starts laughhing)
Cristina: Oh no, no, no! I respect you! You're a historical landmark.
      Dr. Thomas: Case in point.
      Cristina: Like the Grand Canyon.
      Dr. Thomas: Keep it up!
      Cristina: Only older...

    • Meredith: This is a cry for help.
Cristina: It's a cry for an orgasm.
Meredith: And how's that working out?
      Cristina: Meh.

    • Meredith: What about the ancient guy? What about him?
Cristina: You want me to be sex friends with the ancient guy?
Meredith: No! I want you to be regular friends with the ancient guy, and to stop having sex friends in general.

    • Callie: (walks in on Alex smacking a computer monitor) Yeah, whatever's wrong, that'll fix it.

    • Meredith: (opening voiceover) The clothes a surgeon wears help to present an image. The lab coats and badges and scrubs all work together to indicate a person of authority. Someone you can trust. When the clothes come off, now that's a different story. We're sensitive. Vulnerable. Human. And just as prone to questionable judgment as anybody else.
