Richard: Oh, hey, darling. What's up?
Meredith: I have to steal a surgery from Cristina Yang.
Richard: Well... Yang's always stealing surgeries. That girl gives me the creeps.
Meredith: I know, it's just... Mom's operating today and I thought it would be nice to go in and see it, but she doesn't want me in there, so...
Richard: Remember when you were learning how to ride a bike and you ran into the back of the Richmon's station wagon?
Meredith: Vividly.
Richard: What happened after that?
Meredith: I sat on the curb and cried and bled all over you.
Richard (laughs): Well, after that?
Meredith: You made me get back on my bike.
Richard: No. Your mother made you get back on, and you learned to ride a bike. She just wants you to succeed.
Meredith: I know.
Richard: I'm doing a proctoclectomy right now. You want in?
Meredith: Single incision? (Richard nods) I probably shouldn't.
Richard: Yeah, probably not.
