Ellis: But you knew the patient had thrombosis?
Bailey (quietly): I... I had... I did.
Ellis: Speak up.
Bailey: In the legs, yes. Um, did you look at his chart?
Ellis: Of course I looked at his chart but there was no indication that the thrombosis was this bad. Why wasn't it in his chart?
Bailey: Because I had... choosen to use his jugular. They were in the medicial records.
Ellis: And you didn't tell me because I'd opted to not cut the man's throat?
Bailey: Well, that's... It's a good plan--
Ellis: But I had to cut the man's throat anyway. My procedure's a wash, and the patient's been under far longer than is optimal.
Bailey: That's why I picked the jugular.
Ellis: Is that right... Dr. Bailey? Is that why you picked it? Alex, where's my graft?
Alex: Here's the graft. I'm just suturing. (blood squirts on him) Whoa. Oh, my God. I might have nicked the cartoid.
Ellis (looks up at the reporters in the gallery): You people are trying to kill me.
