  • It really didn't catch my eye. Good stuff, but just not enough.

Well, it had good stuff, but it just wasn't enough. Here the tension starts to ache, and Cristina is really getting in trouble.

I didn't like that Alex wasn't able to stand up for himself when Mark demanded him to go pick up his clothes. But really anthitetic was the fact that Alex said, when he let Izzie replace the tube and she asked "What if Sloan finds out?", "screw Sloan"; it pissed me off. Why didn't he just say that episodes before, or when Mark blew the wistle in front of Izzie? It was humilliating, and Izzie realized. I really hate in what Alex turned into, he is really weeker, and he's lost his mojo (again), I'd like to see the hardcore and strong Alex I saw in season two, he really went soft.

And Mer, why is she rejecting sex with Derek? Come on, that was the fiftieth time someone plays that card! If you want some, why should you hide it?

And Callie is starting to like me a lot more than before. I like the way she's gettin close to George's family. By the way, George, depressed, mmm, I didn't like that, cause his strong, and he should have told Callie about Sloan in this episode, not in the next one. He's acting like a 15-year-old-girl with Callie.

    Music was just fine.

And I really think that Alex and Izzie can make a relationship work, but not right now: Izzie did right in rejecting him, she's still coping with Denny's death, they should wait a little more, Alex should have waited a little more.

Well, nice episode, but I'm not trhrilled about it. 8
  • Derek and Meredith work on their relationship. George and Callie have mixed feelings about each other. Addison tries to decide what to do about her wedding band and letting go. Alex tries to step up to the plate and take a shot with Izzie.

So apparently Miranda didn't care too much for Meredith's comment in the O.R. Although Meredith didn't direct her comment toward Dr. Bailey, it seemed that way to Bailey. Meanwhile on a brighter note, Derek and Meredith seem to be on a pretty positive road as far as their relationship goes. Which is more than what i can say about George and Callie. Personally i'd like to see them wind up back together. It's also not great to hear about George's father, that's a real downer. I hope he doesn't die, but if he does i hope he and his brothers can come to some sort of terms where they could all be closer, or at least try to get to know one another a little better. Addison seems to be having a difficult time figuring out what to do about her wedding ring. She feels if she gets rid of them then it's really a sign of her letting go and having to move on, that this is real, that things are not going back to the way they were before. George is pressuring Cristina to tell him the truth about Burke (which he already knows). I think someone should tell somebody. It's very dangerous for a heart surgeon to be performing procedures on patients when he has a hand tremor, especially since the patients, interns (most of them), nurses and other surgeons don't know that anything is wrong. I have a feeling someone is going to catch on fairly soon. Dr. Bailey overheard something, and Cristina won't be able to pull off professional Cardio surgeries for much longer without someone catching on. So Mark is still marching around like a pompus windbag, ordering his inturns to run his errands, and just being plain out arrogant. I'm glad Addison at least said something to him. The chief is depressed because he wants to make his marriage work, but he doesn't want to step down as chief and give up the hospital...at least, that's how it seems. However i wonder if that's the entire truth as to why he's depressed, or if the real reason is that he has to stop seeing Meredith's mother. After experiencing a patient who was willing to have plastic surgery to alter his body for his girlfriend, Alex takes some advice and steps up to the plate to take another shot at Izzie. Izzie is caught off guard and tells Alex that she can't do "that" with him. Later on Alex proceeds to be understanding about the situation. All in all i enjoyed yet another episode.
  • Bright and shiny.

Mia comes to the hospital. Her nanny accidentally run her over by a SUV and the girl has massive injuries. She went into the first surgery and survived and Derek operated on her again the same day and again she survived the surgery. Frenk had some kind of plastic surgery for better male breasts...stronger and he did that all because of the girls. Izzie is shadowing Alex today and he tries something with her again but she can't get over Denny yet.

George's dad has esophagus cancer and George is completely out of his mind because of that. Antoher great episode.
  • it was fantastic from beginning to the end!

it was fantastic from beginning to the end! mer/der have a little peace no matter how long it lasts, theey\'re bright and shiny. ellis and chief, the man should make up his mind to either be bright and shiny or dark and twisted cos seriously, running back and forth between ellis and adele, i like when ellis said he was afraid to be happy. he\'s ass. you live this life only once and like mer said in season two, i dont want to make hate tapes on my death bed. i feel so soory for george but all the same in this season everyone is coming into their own, i fell sorry for callie, i hope george can forgive her the lapse. chris tina have a burst of conscience whao thats a first. the story is spreading to the other cast members now and taking focus most importantantly on anything bad happening to mer/der.

    a wonderful episode loved it.

  • George tells Cristina he knows something is wrong w/ Bruke's hand-she tells Burke. Alex & Izzie kiss. Mcdreamy & Meredith share 2 steamy moments in the bathtub. George is starting to show his feelings for Callie. :D

    9.7
    "Superb"
Great episode! Would have been even better if the bathtub scene was extended, but it is great that McDreamy and Meredith are back together!

It was good that Callie bonded well with George's family and helped them understand George's dad's cancer by explaining it in car terms. It was sad that Richard had to fully give up his visits to Meredith's mother in order to save his marriage to Addel. Meredith's mom will surely be lost without Dr. Webber's regular visit. Addison is very depressed over her failed marriage and showing her vulnerability more now, which is making her more of a lovable character. Alex and Izzie's relationship is once again beginning to blossom. Alex must give Izzie a little more time to recover from Denny's sudden death. The episode was well-written and acted as always. It was a pivotal episode which is leading up to the breakdown of Cristina Yang since she has been keeping Burke's secret...next week will be worth watching.
  • Staring at the sun....really great episode

    God...that was nice to watch.

How Meredith and Derek were in sintony with the 'bright and shine' and then the conflicts in the hospital made them realize that their love was so much more...

And derek helping meredith with her mom even though he doesn't know he's helping.I missed that inocent love in GA.

And the woman in the show helping the man was fantastic.

Callie and Christina with Mr. O'malley and family

    Addison with Richard

Miranda bailey was the exception but she was fantastic, first denying she had trouble and than ending beautifully with the song that was very very very touching.

Izzie and Alex back as friends and making Izzie regain self- estime.

    Loved Loved Loved
  • \"Mamma may have... papa may have...\"

Another great episode. It continues where the last episode dropped off. George\'s father needs a surgery, but things just go wrong...

And, finally! George finally found out about Burke\'s hand. Well, not really everything, but at least he now knows something. The mother-babysitter story was so sad. Oh, but it was kinda stupid when Mia woke up and she was only asking for Anna. Please, the only thing she said was :\" Where\'s Anna?\". And, she was saying that constantly. She could at least say: \"Hi, mum or Hi, dad.\" But... OK!

Well, Meredith and Derek are again getting boring, but ha ha, I can\'t believe Sloan sent Izzie and Alex to pick up his clothes, ha ha!
  • xblvr like this episode very much, yes she does!!

Poor George – I really do not like how his brothers treat him. He is so smart and sweet – he deserves more respect. What is Christina thinking – I know she loves Burke but she is only hurting him and herself in this little lie. Meredith and Derek – I am glad that they are back together again – it is about time that they realized that they make each other happy. Alex – I know that he still has feelings for Izzy but he should realize that she just isn’t ready. Izzy – loved the scene where she was feeling u[ Alex and Frank. I also loved the scene where she and Alex were talking about themselves in 3rd person.
  • The tension mounts as George's father has cancer and needs heart surgery so that he can survive the cancer-removing surgery. Cristina and Burke are tense about the upcomming surgery and George entices Cristina to have a conscience.

The tension in this episode actually cause physical pain to my soul. It was fantastic and the hype for next week's episode is outragious! Oh, the Drama. The only wierd thing about this show was the episode didn't revolve around Meredith and Derek for once which was a relief. Derek actually barely occured in this episode at all, which gave Burke some time to shine in the spotlight. The big surgery to come seems like it might put a permenant strain on Cristina and Burke's relationship, which at best is always quite muddled. Overall an awesome episode and we look forward to the upcomming installments!
  • Truly Touching, and so much development!

I really like the way the writers are slowly developing each character and their history. Obviously this episode is about George, but we see a side of him that was only barely touched in a previous season, my heart really bleeds for him. Glad to see Christina is experiencing some more character develpment, she is a fascinating character. I like the direction Izzie and Alex are heading, I think Alex has also grown up a lot. For the first time I really want Meredith and McDreamy together, they just look so natural. Sad that Meredith's mom had to experience the same thing with the Chief. Callie is finally coming around and not being to clingy around George, thats what drove him away at the beginning (I really hope they get back together again, I really like Callie) Addison letting go of the marraige, I think that now she cabn start mending and carry on with her live. McSteamy's still an ass! But I think we are in for a few surprises with him. Burke should trust George and tell him. And Bailey, she REALLY wants to be a good mom (And Chandra Wilson[Bailey] has an excellent voice).

Overall, very pleasing, worth stay up late to watch!
  • My favorite was the preview for the next episode... but the episode was cool aswell!

Geroge's dad has cancer and is on a complicated case. George knows about Burke and his disability to use his hands properly. The chief stops seeing Elis Grey in hopes to work out his marriage. Merideth and Derek start working out their relationship. Meanwhile Alex and Izzie are working under Salone on his male patient that got breast implants. Alex makes a move on Izzie, but Izzie tells Alex that she can't. Bailey realizes she hasn't been spending too much time with her baby and at the end of the episode she calls her babya nd sings to him on her cellphone. I have to say she has a beautiful voice. She realized it because she and Merideth had a patient, a five year old girl who was very attached to her nanny and wanted her insted of her parents when she was under going the different tests. Her parents fired the nanny because the nanny accidentally ran down the five year old girl, at the end though the nanny got her job back. I loved this episode, but I'm just really excited for the next one.
  • Mainly a George related show!

George's father has heart surgery as George gets very nervous when he feels that he can't operate on his own dad and has Burke to do the operation but Cristina, usually very cold, was for once sympathetic in this show and told Burke not to doubt himself. Meanwhile, a child is seriously injured and her mom th8inks that the babysitter that she hired isn't trustworthy but the girl trusts her than her mother so that tells you something.
  • Guy gets peck implants to impress his girlfriend, Alex hits on Izzy, Meredith and Derrick are happy, oh and a little girl gets run over by her car and wants the nanny more than her mother.

I honestly loved this episode. It made my night. Bailey at the end of the episode singing to her kid was sweet and a nice way to end it, and I think Callie wants George back and really gets to know his family. Even her little car comments were funny. I LOVE IZZY. Shes back to her oldself, and slowly but surely moving on. Whatever happened to the 6.7 MILLION dollars?! Izzy and Alex shouldn't go back out I think, but what Alex did was nice. This may be one of my more boring reviews, but I'm jumping all around with it. It was a good episode. Final.
  • Barely anything really happened that was really life changing

Though thew whole there\'a going 6to be a Addy/Al thing upsets me. I don\'t want them together! Izzy/Alex! It was so sad when Izzy turned ASlex down that was when I really felt bad for you. Yet I don\'t blame her I mean the love of her life died recently what did Alex think wou;ld happen. Is it just more or are some of the patients really disturbing? Like the guy who gopt breasts. That\'s creepyt. The thing with Meredith andher mother was touching. I wanted to cry when I heard about George\'s dad! Poor Geprge! Losing his girlfriend and a;lmost his dad!
  • Good but pure filler

This was just the episode leading up to next week's explosion. I predicted that Burke and Cristina will end up killing someone before his hand problem is revealed. Looks like that is what's going to happen next week. Addison throwing her wedding ring off the ferry was very sad. I felt it was sadder than the little girl who kept rejecting her absent mother. I just wanted to hit that absent mother.
  • This show is great but this episode is the first in a while that I felt showed how good it can be.

    9.2
    "Superb"
Overall this was the best episode in a while. This show has always been above average but I felt it was lagging a bit. The storylines just haven't gone straight to the gut, or the heart, like they tend to do when the show is at its best.

I'll admit, I have never been a big George fan. I always *liked* him and the actor's great, I just didn't care for him that much. At first he just felt like another Xander, only less loveable. But after tonight my opinion might change. T.R. Knight was *good*. He was so honest and strong but still George, still awkward and not all that confident. I've been losing sympathy for Burke and Cristina recently but I felt so bad for him when George told him he was there for him. It was too late, with his pride and everything else in the way but that's what he'd needed to hear for so long. You could also see Christina suffering and what she said to George's dad was really touching considering that this is Cristina we're talking about. Bailey's singing was a nice touch. Once I'd heard she was on Broadway I wanted to hear how good she was.

I love how Izzy and Alex's relationship is being handled. The same with Meredith and Derek. I feel safe in my belief that the writers aren't going to resort to gimmicks or sappiness to keep these relationships going. Also, I may have enjoyed the McDreamy in a tub bits more but I couldn't help thinking Addison looked incredibly gorgeous in this episode. I've always liked her character so I feel pretty bad for her and her ring issues. And the scene with her, Bailey and Callie talking about kids was nice. Callie's finally growing on me.
  • Working mom story touched me.

    9.6
    "Superb"
Let me begin by saying I really, really enjoyed Bailey singing to her son, Tucker. To hear her call him Tuck was just so so good to hear. Since I was once a working mom, I can totally feel what Bailey was saying about having a career and being a mother. Although I can understand where Mer was coming from, I had to side with Bailey tonight and the little girl's mother. Shonda just well dealing with this issue. Clap, clap, clap.

George was a ham or man whichever one is preferred. He was sexy tonight because he stood up to Christina. He said what he had to say to her and left the room. It was like this what I feel now the ball is in your court.

    Great eppi.
