  • the other side..

interesting episode tonight. We see the other side of some of the characters tonight. For example, we can see how Dr Webber can become ruthless in order to get a once in a lifetime surgery from Karev.. and Karev's soft side towards the older Dr. We get to see Christina's soft side towards Teddy. It's nice to see the drama between the two characters. My favorite scene is when Teddy finally accepts the death of Henry. It's so emotional. It was perfectly played by both Kim Raver and Sandra Oh. We also see Arizona's bully moment hits its peak, haha... wow, she can be a bully when she's under pressured. Funny how Callie set the record straight by giving her her own medicine of bullying haha.. Aw, I also feel bad for little Grey... oh well, that will keep her relationship with Mark interesting.. And wow, Dr. Bailey has love life issues, haha.. the scene with Merideth at the OR was funny too... OH and I'm glad Zola's back.moreless

I've been watching this show from the start and i thought that like every other show this too will become boring, especially when Izzy, George and also Addison left. I thought that they will try to do everything differently but thay didn't. The show is still my favourite one and I must say, I watch a looot of different shows! :) Every episode is shocking and suprising! So please keep the good work, because I love the characters right now and I wouldn't change anything.

Oh, and about this episode. It was fresh. I loved that for a change everything was around one case and that they showed some team work again. I loved Christina's and Teddy's moment, but most of all I loved Arizona's and Callie's conversation. I almost died from laughing and I watch it like five times!
Can't wait for a new episode!!!

  • Very enjoyable episode!

    "Great"
Just like many of the previous episodes of the season, This Magic Moment managed to perfectly intertwine classic Grey's humour as well as the expected (and often necessary) drama all into one hours worth of a show.
What I particularly enjoyed about this episode is that it was a breath of fresh air in comparison to the more dramatically inclined episodes that had aired just before it, and yet it still had me on the edge of my seat in a couple of scenes with certain dramatic elements. After witnessing a long struggle to keep Zola in their lives, it was so rewarding to see Meredith/Derek's little family come together at last - I really could have died from the cuteness, and the main case of the episode - the conjoined twins - although interesting in it's own right, was made incredibly comical by Karev's constant pushing over by Dr. Webber and Dr Robbins' up-tight nervousness and bossiness throughout the entire procedure - so incessant that Callie had to put her foot down and tell her own wife off in the OR
Sara Ramirez and Chandra Wilson, who are for me the two actresses who deliver comedy at it's finest on the show, did just that with their respective scenes during the episode, even though I couldn't really bring myself to care much for the Ben/Bailey storyline. My heart too went out for poor Lexie and Mark who clearly belong together but lack the common sense to make it happen. I don't know, this episode was perky and easy to watch... Kind of reminded me of the old Grey's, and that for me is a big thumbs up. And in case you think I've forgotten, of course Kim Raver and Sandra Oh continued with two more brilliant and heartfelt performances as Teddy and Cristina. You could almost feel the raw pain that Teddy was exuding during her final scene with Cristina - and it showed just how much Cristina had come to respect her mentor by the way that she understood Teddy's actions and continued to humour her for her own good throughout the episode. This isn't an episode for someone who was desiring an hour of intense television watching, but it was fantastic nonetheless in many other ways, and I'm truly pleased with the fashion in which this season is rolling right now :)moreless

    • Ben: How's Zola doing?
Meredith: Oh, she's great. Thanks. She's bout a minute away from walking.
Ben: That's great. And she's in the daycare downstairs?
Meredith: She is, yeah. She really likes it.
Ben: Must be nice having the whole family in the building.
      Meredith: Yeah.
Ben: It's a win-win. You love Dr. Shepherd, and he loves you, and you see each other at work, and then see each other at home. Just more of a good thing.
Meredith: Dr. Bailey, is that the spleen right there?
      Bailey: That is the spleen.
Meredith: So are we gonna take out the whole thing?
Bailey: We will. We will take it right out.
Meredith: So how many suture ligatures do you think we'll need to do for the splenic vessels?
Bailey: Oh, it could be two, it could be three. I'll see if two does it, but I may have to throw in a third.
Ben: This is good stuff. I'm glad I skipped the conjoined twins.
Bailey: There's beauty in the basics.
Ben: There's beauty in sharing a bowl of cereal with a woman that--
Meredith: I can't remember how to do a stick tie.
Bailey: No shame in that. There's no stupid questions.
Ben: Are you sure about that?

    • Bailey: Okay, I'm gonna tell you something about my personal life.
      Meredith: Really?
Bailey: Okay, um, my personal life is none of your business. The fact that I know things about your personal life is one of the great sadnessess of my extistence.
      Meredith: Sorry about that.
Bailey: And the fact that you're gonna know about mine exponentially worse, but I don't see how we get around it.
      Meredith: Okay.
Bailey: We're about to operate with Dr. Warren. He and I are... involved.
      Meredith: Everybody knows that.
      Bailey: Can you not pretend?
Meredith: Oh, oh. You and Dr. Warren? Wow.
Bailey: Uh, he is going to try and dicuss personal matters in the O.R today, and I don't want that to happen. Okay, so I'm gonna teach you a lot. And you are going to ask questions a lot. And if he gets a personal word in edgewise, I want you to forget which is the business end of a scalpel is real quick, and ask for help.
Meredith: Okay, so, let me get this straight. You pulled me out of a once of a lifetime surgery to be a buffer between you and your boyfriend?
Bailey: Oh, don't use that kind of language with me.

    • Meredith (after Alex & Arizona's practice flip goes wrong): You nearly killed both dolls.
Alex: Look, I had it. I know it. If only freakin' Robbins would trust me to do it.
      Meredith (whispers): Doll killer.

    • Arizona (while they're practicing flipping the babies): Karev, you rushed it. You're like two steps ahead of me.
Alex: No, you over me. Yours over mine, everything's fine. Mine of yours, babies in the morgue. That's how it works.

    • Richard (about Arizona): Man, she's wound up tight.
Alex: I thought that you were off work today.
Richard: I won't see another one of these in my lifetime. You're doing the flip, right, Karev, with Robbins? (Alex nods) The flip's a critical part. You ready?
      Alex: Yes, sir.
Richard: Look, I know this procedure is her baby, but she keeps nitpicking everybody, she'll destroy their confidence. Don't let her do that to you.
      Alex: Oh, no, sir.
Richard: Good, because if the flip goes wrong, she's gonna blame you. It'll go on your record, and-- and boards comin' up. It's not gonna look good. Glad it's not me.

    • Bailey: I thought I had Dr. Knox.
Ben: You know what I love about you? Your warmth.
Bailey: You were doing the conjoined twins.
Ben: Yeah, well, now Knox is doing the conjoined twins.
Bailey: Uh huh. We're not talking about it.
Ben: Oh, of course we're talking about it.
Bailey: It's a crazy idea that I'm not talking about because it's a crazy.
Ben: It's not crazy. We sleep in one bed, we would have breakfast at the same table, we would have one eletric bill instead of two.
Bailey: Oh, that's why you want me to move in with you, so we can save on eletric?
Ben: Yeah, it's the responsible thing to do... For the planet.
Bailey (scoffs): I am not moving in with you. Okay, l-look we've been together, what, two weeks?
Ben: Two weeks and nine months before the pause. And I want to hit play again, right where we left off. I don't want to start at the beginning.
Bailey: Because it's good for the planet?
Ben: And I have a better T.V. Look, come on, now. Admit it. You want to live with me. You love me.
      Bailey: I want... Knox back.

    • Meredith (opening voiceover): Have you had the starring role in a play... a solo in a receital? All eyes on you... waiting for you to do what they came to see. Feeling the incredible pressure to perform. There was a time when they used to call operating rooms an operating theatre. It still feels like one, scores of people get ready for the show. Sets are arranged. There are costumes, masks... props. Everything has to be rehearsed, chreographed, all leading to the moment that the curtain goes up. You know what the say about Carnegie Hall? That there's only one way to get there.
