  • Such a brilliant funny episode! I love this show!

This was a brilliant episode and one of my favourites of the season. It was so funny, cristina trying to be nice to proove Marlow wrong was at times hilarious. Meridth was also funny when she gave out to susan (Don't know if that was meant to be funny?) You can tell theres trouble ahead for Mer/Der but it's a tv show they can't always stay together! I really like the whole Gizzie thing and thought it was great that George did go back into the room after walking out. Mark is very funny and adds a lot of humour to the show, some of his one liners are just great. Baily is a great character and I hope she is in more often from now on again. Overall this episode is underated and one of the season's best!!
  • A very emotional episode. This episode shows how everything in our histories can suddenly appear again in the present to haunt us.

I liked how Cristina played the "sweet" card to make Colin Marlow go away, which was the best part of the episode.

The Izzie drama was excelent, and I liked how Bailey acted like momma bear this time. George acted like an idiot at the beginning of the episode, but later he got better and was excelent. Alex is so in denial, he's so in love or wathever!

I liked how Mark acted here, he was excelent in this epi, since this is his skilled area. I liked the whole Susan's mothering attitude and how she stood up to Meredith

Bad things: Derek acting like an idiot, and Meredith rejecting Susan for no good reason ( I can understand her, but she's acting like a 2 year old). Colin beeing such a jerk with Burke, George lying this time was bad (he should have told Callie the truth) and also with Izzie in the first scenes. I didn't like that Addison appeared for few seconds. It was an emotional episode, but there were some others like this before.
  • A couple shows up to Seattle Grace to claim Jane Doe as their daughter. Mark tries to give chief tips with the ladies. Collin continues to try to be the thorn in Yang's side. The adopted Parents of Izzie's daughter show up for bone marrow from Izzie.

The episode starts out with Susan trying to be there for Meredith by bringing groceries and doing other nice things. Later on in the episode Meredith goes off on Susan, and later describing the incident tells Derek that she thinks she scared off her "fake mommy" forever. Towards the end of the episode Susan shows up to have it out with Meredith. Meredith forgives her and explains the only mom she's ever known how to deal with was overbearing, not overprotective. Derek struggles with the fact that having Meredith in his life could compromise his ability to become chief. Richard tells Derek basically that he can't give Derek the job because he promised Ellis Grey that he would look out for her daughter. He fears giving the position to Derek would ruin Derek and Meredith's relationship. The adoptive parents of Izzie's daughter show up needing a bone marrow donation from Izzie for her eleven year old daughter Hannah who has Leukemia. Izzie agrees to give the bone marrow but is very disappointed when she can't see her daughter. I don't know yet if the parents are the ones that don't want her to meet Hannah, or if Hannah just doesn't want to meet Izzie yet. As soon as i found out in earlier episodes that Izzie had a daughter i knew something like this would happen. She just can't get a break. I thought George demanding to know where Izzie was to Bailey was hilarious. I thought she would cream him right there. Bailey was very helpful and kind with Izzie when Izzie told her what was going on. I was surprised when Izzie told George about her daughter. I was a bit confused that he wanted to be there for her now, since he's been treating Izzie kind of crappy lately. He takes Izzie to see her daughter from afar. Callie found out from Meredith that George was with Izzie. She knows he lied to her when she asked where he was when he missed their coffee date. So Jane Doe got her new face which was given to the police to try to help find any relatives or friends that recognize her. A couple shows up thinking that she is their daughter Shannon. The mother later tells Alex that the girl isn't their daughter and that the reason her husband thinks she is their daughter is that he needs it to be, because if it isn't their daughter it means she's still out there somewhere. Jane Doe goes off on Alex towards the end of this episode, accusing him of being pathetic and wanting to keep her there all for himself. I wonder if he really did maybe think he was creating the perfect woman, possibly for himself? I thought that was a little far fetched though. I can't stand this Collin guy. I mean, i don't like Burke but i think i hate Collin slightly more than Burke. He's trying harder than ever to pull Cristina away from Burke and convince her that she's changed, and that this marriage is a mistake. When she doesn't give in he announces that he is leaving, which couldn't have made me happier. I did think all the little tactics Cristina used to try to scare him off were hilarious. Mark tries to give the chief tips on how to be with the ladies. Richard finds out later that Mark thinks if he helps the chief get lucky, then Richard will make him chief of surgery. Addison comes in and saves the day the way she always manages too at the best times. She tries to help the chief and tells him to practice on her by asking her to dance and stuff. I love Addison. This was yet again another great episode. It has kept me hanging on and wanting to watch the next episode. Actually this entire season has done that to me. Now that i think about it, i think the show has been like that for me since day one anyway.
  • Time after Time a very fitting title for the episode... As usual a brilliantly written episode. You're laughing one minute and then crying the next!

Watching Izzie having to go through all the bone marrow tests for her daughter made me have a constant tear supply in my eyes for the whole episode..Katherine Heigle once again shows off her amazing acting ability.

Izzie is crushed when She finds out what George wants and what he compared there night together to...I breathed a huge sigh of relief when He "Demanded" to know where she was and found her, then later a even bigger one when He walked back in to the room to be with Izzie!

The constant Battle between Christina and Marlow was also a great laugh! Dericks indesicion on his reason for coming to Seattle I think also highlighted so many underlying issues in the MerDer relationship.Mean while Meridith has to deal with her "Mother" issuses and Susan at the same time!

    A superb and Memorable episode!
  • Good moments of friendship between George and Izzie and foreshadowing of the problems in Cristina/Burke's relationship.

If the rest of the season had continued in this vein, with George just being a supportive friend of Izzie when she needs him, the storyline would've been better served. George really should have just told Callie where he was because despite her problems with Izzie, she would have been more understanding at this point. The fact that Cristina is trying to boost Burke up is sweet, but her manner in this episode when she is trying to make Marlowe leave her alone is quite unnerving. The scenes with Bailey/Izzie were wonderful and emphasize the fact that Bailey is underused throughout this season. Meredith's problems with her stepmother are initially irritating, but the final scene between her and Susan was touching because it seemed so genuine. The best part of the episode was the Alex/Ava storyline, and it was truly heartbreaking when she found out that she really wasn't Shannon and she couldn't go home with her parents.
  • One of Grey's worst. Seriously!

It's official: Grey's Anatomy is in a rut.

I'm not kidding, I actually couldn't wait for tonight's episode to be over, and I definitely don't mean that in a good way. I'll start with the ongoing George/Izzie saga. I remember a not too distant time in the past when I loved Izzie. Now? I can't stand the girl. And George, well, I never liked George. George had absolutely no business chasing Izzie down like he was her protector. George, in case you've forgotten, you already have a wife. Her name is Callie. Ah, yes, Callie. I love her and I really would like nothing more at this point than to see her snap Izzie's bony body in two, and then smack the crap out of George. She really does deserve better.

Speaking of ongoing sagas, it looks like Distorted-Face Girl might finally be finding her family. Only problem is, after oh, three fourths of the episode, the people in question turn out not to be her family. Wow. I never saw that one coming (end sarcasm). Seriously, why are we even supposed to care? Alex is the only one that pretends to care, and even he doesn't seem that interested.

I guess stalking was a common theme throughout this episode. Not only did George chase Izzie's scent like a dog in heat, but Christina and Meredith had their own encounters as well. Christina continues to be followed around by her ex-boyfriend. She tells him she's moved on and is getting married, and doesn't miss him, blah, blah, blah. He says ok, and leaves. And that takes care of that. Meredith, meanwhile, has to contend with the mothering (which turns out to be something more like smothering) attempts on the part of her stepmother who feels guilty for not encouraging Merewhore's dad to spend time with her as a kid. Whaddya know, I find myself not caring yet again.

Pretty much the only thing I enjoyed in this episode was Mark schooling Chief Webber on the fine art of flirting, and the final shot of Addison dancing with the Chief at the bar.
  • Funny in a good kind of way

The show was funny in a good kind of way as we met an assortment of characters. In particular, a mother named Mrs Malone with family problems. As Cristina & Burke's relationship kept getting in the way due to annoying and obnoxious Colin Marlowe. While Izzy meets the daughter she gave up and her daughter wants something for her. Very emotional hour along with some funny parts in it.
  • Not the best but I enjoyed, Burke and Christina, moments.

The scene begins. Christina and Burke show a moment together, while doing surgery and when Christina gets the impression that she is being watched by someone other then who is in the room, she looks up to find the doctor, who came to Seattle Grace to win her back. Through the entire episode, we see allot of loving times with Burke and Christina, trying to show the doctor that they are truly in love with one another, and it's not just for looks. When the end comes the doctor catches a true moment with the two and notices that she is in love with Burke and has nothing more to do with her. When Izzie comes back from confession, being the man he is; Alex immediately knows she must have done something bad, which makes everyone else quiet curious and George uncomfortable. He is still trying to be the best husband to Callie as possible, but makes her suspicious when he promises her that he would meet her for coffee but doesn't come because he is with Izzie. And when she asks where's he's been, already knowing that he was with Izzie, he lies to her face. Izzie finds out that her daughter is at the hospital, because she needs a bone-marrow from Izzie. Bailey helps her with the situation and keeps it quiet and when George finds out that his friend is on the table, he rushes to be by her side. Meredith finds that her step-mom wants to be like a mom to her which makes Meredith feel uncomfortable with the matter, and causes them to have a slight argument. Derek finds out that he can't be chief because of the loving relationship with Meredith. The Chief sees how his work ruined the relationship with his wife and doesn't want that to happen to Meredith or Derek. Mark decides to help the Chief get a girl, and Addison later on decides to help on the matter as well. And when Alex finds out that Jane Doe maybe leaving he doesn't feel that excited about it.
  • Developments, discoveries and distrusts.

    9.0
    "Superb"
Since Meredith's drowning episode the show didn't had an episode centred in anyone else, which is a shame because if you have watched this episode you are probably realising how much personal plots we have at our disposal if some of the other characters had more time on the screen.

Take Alex, for example. From a total jerk, he's turning to be a very solitary and lonely man who wants nothing more to have someone he can truly trust and confide, even if that person is a patient.

And Cristina? I still cannot believe the scenes Marlow and Burke compete for her and the vengeance she has on Marlow for trying to ruin her relationship with Burke. That was really something and totally impredictable for me.

Finally, Izzie. She's not only still felling bad enough to go to the mass to confess her sins, she now has to deal with her daughter turning on the hospital with leuchemia and needing a marrow transplant from her. Easy enough to say her secret is in danger and as quick as a blink of an eye George and Bailey are already knowing it.

All in all, the writers are still building up the tension about who's going to be chief and approaching George and Izzie more and more, which even leaves Callie angry again with her husband.

Let's stay tuned to find out what comes next!
  • I liked this episode! It wasn't my favourite. MEREDITH AND DEREK though.. I hate how Derek is questioning his status ith Mer though

This episode was a good episode but it definetly wasn't my favourite. I REALLLLYYYYY hope Derek and Meredith don't break up. In this episode I really liked how Bailey was being sooo supportive and sooo nice to Izzie. I thought it was good for Izzie to do that for her daughter. I absolutley LOVED Cristina in this episode. I loved how she was sooo nice it was hilarious . Sandra Oh is just an amazing actress she plays Cristina sooo perfectly. I loved how she held Burke's hand and got all close to him when she was with Colin Marlow. By the way I HATE Colin Marlow. I am soo glad that he's leaving! I think Cristina likes being nice though cause at the end the scene with Burke and her after he told he that he was happy for her to be back to her normal self she made a face as if she wanted to be nice from now on. Anyhow I really don't know what will happen. Can't wait till next episode.

It's like talking negative about someone's religion or politics, some people refuse to see outside of their angelic view of reality. I for one used to love Grey's Anatomy. In fact I still am deeply in love with Grey's Anatomy which is why I found this episode so difficult to digest. This episode had no movement at all, no charm, no warmth, none of the comedic drama which I have come to adore from the cast of romantics. I blame that entirely on the Iizze storyline of this episode. In fact subtract the Iizze soap tragedy of a storyline and you have a classic amazingly written Grey's episode. There is only one person who can never do wrong in life, she is Meryl Streep. Everything else deserves to be questioned and reflected upon. Grey's is no different. I sincerely hope it regains its composure and resurrect as the Grey's Anatomy I have come to trust and love.
  • Again, a triumph of bad writing.

    2.0
    "Terrible"
The totally unbelievable love-connection between Izzie and George continues. The idea of this is deeply tragic, robbing the serie of its credibility and charm. This was the last episode I'll watch, since the serie has lost all of its charm due to this stupid story. I can feel the actor's pain, saying stupid lines and trying to convince their loyal audience that "Oh yes, Izzie and George...! And let's throw in that Izzie has a daughter, to underline some foolish bonding between Izzie and George". The scriptwriters treat their audience like idiots and it's totally beneath us. George cheats on his wife, lies to her and keeps on doing it. In every other issue he's always taken the moral high ground, but here obviously not. He doesn't need emotional rescue, he needs psychological help. Often with the filler-storylines, they drag on forever - episode upon episode with no development. As is the case with who's supposed to be the next chief. Now forcing Derek to make some kind of choice between Meredith or his job/career is almost as stupid as the George/Izzie-story. Are they totally out of fresh ideas or believable storylines? The story with Christina's ex-boyfriend, did it really serve any purpose? No, it's just a filler. And when the majority of the show becomes fillers and the mainstory boils down to George and Izzie...well, then it's time to move on to other shows. It's silly really, to feel personally let down or betrayed by a show, but I do feel like this with "Grey's anayomy". Hopefully they'll cancel the show after this season or kick the script writers the hell out of their comfortable chairs. Now all that's left are crumbs and an audience choking on the script writers stupidity, to the sound of Meredith's fortune-cookie-wisdom in the beginning and end of every show. Remember the time when this was a fresh serie, vibrant and with really good acting and stories? When it felt like they were real people and there was some sense even in the weird stuff that happened? When it meant something? That was a long time ago.

Farewell, Grey's anatomy - your self-destruction is eminent.
  • Merdith and her fake mommy have moments...shephards wonders what goign on with his priorities, cristiana tries to get marlow to leave, McSteamy tries to help the cheifes love life and izzy has another thing happen to her.

    8.5
    "Great"
Ok so alot happen so i will try to break it down by parts First the meridith and susan thing...Susan is trying to consol meridith and is coming off a little strong...and it takes its tole on meridith. She doesn't seem to know how to haddel a mother like this. She snaps at susan and eventually it lead to susan coming over and just telling meridith that she is trying to be there for her. Theres a moment and meridith is happy and is going to do her best dealing with this and letting susan be there. Ok next is McDreamy trying to make his push for chief. He confronts the cheif on something he may have said or implied about derek becoming the cheif when he leaves. basically he has a hard time because derek is with meridith and the cheif doesn't want what happened to his relationship to happen to them because he promised he would watch meridith...this makes derek question his priorities and makes him wonder if he should choose meridith or his focus as chief.

Cristiana is doing everything she can to get marlow to leave. she wears nail polish and plays the helpless girls part and sticks up for her man. Marlow embaress burke is surgery and makes him leave. Cristina consoles burke and marlow is disgusted and leaves.

McSteamy is tryign to help the cheif with his love life and tries to get him to find a lady in hopes of possible cheif vote from him.

Ok and probably the most interesting story of the night was with Izzy. we find out she had a daughter when she was 16 and gave her up. Now she has Lukiemia and needs a bone marrow transplant. Ok so let me just say this...Izzy has had a fiancie die, inherited 8 million dollars, slept with her friend who is married, and now has a daughter thats 11 with cancer...i think they are doing a lil much with her don't you? anyways not to bring this storyline down but i thought about this and it made me a lil frustrate with all that happened with her. so she finds out that she has a daughter and is going to do the transplant, but george insistes on knowing whats going on. Ok so i really felt for george but now i'm starting to hate him...he slept iwth izzy and has feeligns for her, but hes married. it was an impulsive marriage but hes married and you can tell hes not into it with her. So he wines and demands stuff and finds out whats happening and they have a moment as george see izzy daughter and covinces izzy to look at her. So anyways i think george is a lil punk and needs to man up. either forget izzy and move on or call it off with callie. He can't hav every thing and he obviously wants it all...so anyways overall a pretty good episode. lets see what happens with all these stories
  • Dr. Shephard supplements his bid on the chief position. Christina tries to ward off the old boyfriend and convince him she's serious about marriage. Izzy and George have another great bonding moment over Izzy's adoptive child in the episode.

Well, I enjoyed this episode. So much going on, leading to speculation towards the seasons end. The chief wont step down for another season at least. Dr. Bailey shows compassion towards Izzy's situation and helps her through the first steps until George barges in and takes over. This is showing that he cares deeply by stating "Make me leave" to Dr. Bailey. McDreamy's ambition for the top spot hits a snag and he will have to make a choice and shows his indecision by not answering the phone for Meridith. Another good episode, for a great show!

I'm a big fan of Greys anatomy, but last night episode was not the best. It's still exciting. I'm just so disapointed over the Der / Mer situation. Season 1 and 2 Der / Mer fought so hard for their love and now it's seem like Mer isn't enough for Der. And I'm tired of the on and off relationship. Why can't they just be happy for a while? I think that the reason why Greys Anatomy is so popular is because of Der / Mer and their love for one another.
  • A fine episode displaying heart breaking and warming emotion from Izzy and George.

Honestly I have never felt so attached to the character of Izzy before I saw this episode. Shonda has written yet another killer episode. The level of emotion in this episode had me sitting on the edge of my seat. When Izzy had her breakdown in the bathroom I couldn't help but feel for her. George's determination to find her displayed his deep seated feelings for her which for once didn't disgust me, but rather made me feel warm inside. The only small issue I had with the episode is the decsion to put Meredith and Derek's relationship on the rocks again, and for a reason that was never a problem before!

But honestly, overall this is a fine example of why I tune in week after week to watch this show. You can't help but feel drawn to the characters. I applaud Shonda Rhymes!
  • Izzie finally meets her daughter

I loved this episode! The previous ones didn't appeal to me that much, but this one was amazing!

I'm really excited about Izzie at the moment, she's growing on me a lot. After the whole Denny thing I didn't like her character that much anymore. I so want her with George!! Seriously! I never would have imagined, but they have chemistry and now I see it. And they are so good to each other. I loved how George walked out, but then came back to continue helping Izzie. And how he was there before to support her! I loved it!

I really wish Hannah is gonna be well and daughter and mother will meet! At least now Izzie knows she did the right thing back then. And wasn't it just amazing when the adopted parents came and told her she looked just like the girl??

I worry about Derek and Meredith. I really hope he's not gonna be stupid and break up with her, because what he really wants is to become Chief. I get why Richard doesn't wanna give him his support. It's kind of a wise decision and I love the support he's giving Meredith!!! Becoming Chief would probably mean no good for their relationship, so I hope Derek will realize that and decide against the job!!

Plot: Dr. Shepard learns that his relationship with Meredith may jeopardize his career, which leads to some extreme pouting scenes. Izzie’s daughter is very sick and needs a bone marrow transplant for her. George and Izzie continue to get involved with each other despite the audience’s general disgust and disapproval.

For two years now we have been waiting to meet Izzie’s daughter and when she finally arrives, she is on her death bed. Of course the only reason she has even shown up is because she needs something from Izzie. That’s the problem with kids these days; they always have their hands out. Give me money, give me a ride, and give me some sweet sweet bone marrow. It was an enjoyable storyline until George came and awkwardly inserted himself. Every scene between them just screams awkwardness, as if Izzie is just waiting to say, “dude, aren’t you gay?”

Alex gave Izzie a lot of grief about getting to close to her patients and now he is doing the exact same thing. Of course, we can forgive him because he was just jealous and wanted to bang her. Much like the Twinkie defense, it’s irrefutable. With her plastic surgery complete, everyone is clamoring about how hot Eva looks. Did anyone take a look at her teeth? Put her back under, she isn’t done yet. A family comes to claim her, but when they find out they have made a mistake, Eva doesn’t take it very well.

Both Derek and Christina’s storylines were terrible. The chief is hesitant to promote Derek because he feels like Derek won’t be able to handle balancing the job and Meredith. That’s extremely inappropriate and none of the chief’s concern or business. That would be the case if everyone in this hospital didn’t sleep with each other! Anytime someone talks about who is going to be the next chief, I just tune everything out. Much like I do anytime Meredith speaks.

Christina tries to get rid of her ex boyfriend by being extremely cutesy with Burke. The two surgeons are constantly on the verge of whipping it out and having a pissing contest in full view of their patients. I for one don’t want either of these dudes operating on me! I always envisioned heart surgery as pretty complex work, the kind where I couldn’t have the luxury of discussing my sex life. Parting Thought: Yes, I’m fully aware that I didn’t discuss Meredith’s storyline at all. She sucks, deal with it.

I have missed the first season & a half of this show, so I had not remembered that Izzie had a daughter. Or maybe I just never saw the episode. I don't know. But to have this hit her on the heels on George's comparison to the tryst with Meredith & the tragic sex. I know I shouldn't have but when she said that thing about the sad sex I nearly died:)

Back to my original thought, On the heels, of losing Denny, finally figuring out what to do with her inheritance , her fling with George & his rejection, Now this?? it's almost too much. Yet she soldiers on. I was proud of George being there for her, not proud of him lying to his wife.

And McDreamy! What was up with him. Is he going to dump love & happiness for a job title??? Insane!

I jusr read the description of the next episode. 2 people who have not slept together before will. I wonder who that will be. Addison & the Chief maybe?

Poor Susan. She is just trying to be there for Meredith. Trying to fix the past, fix the future. And Meredith just pushes and pushes and gets rude. I was happy in the end when Susan finally called her on that. Glad that Marlowe is gone, he drives me crazy and obviously Christina too. Poor McDreamy. That would suck if he were to lose chief because Richard has some issues about his past life. McDreamy can do both, even if Richard couldn’t. Jane Doe, Eva, and Alex – what is up with them?? She needs to realize that he is trying. It’s getting close to Addison’s leaving, wonder what’s going to push her over the edge?? Something with McSteamy??

The episode as usual was intense and addictive...Im upset with McDreamy right now. Me and him arent exactly on speaking terms till he removes his head from his butt! How can he even question his feelings for Grey? How can he even compute dropping her only to gain the title "chief"? The current chief has recently just spilled his guts in telling Derek that "chief" was the reason for his divorce. HMMM... lets see... LOVE-? CHIEF-? LOVE = HAPPY + LIFE. CHIEF = LONELY - LIFE. In the end is he chasing the money, the title or is it the raw thrill of it all?
  • Great Episode! Love the Izzie storylines!

I really liked this episode alot. There was such character development across the board. Christina has grown as a character on the show. She has continued, in her own fashion, to grow from this selfish, ambitious doctor to a still ambitious person but somewhat less selfish. It's been slow but sure...and realistic. In any healthy relationship, neither person should lose themselves but they can become new people and that is where Christina is...the crossroads between being one and becoming two. She helped Burke the only way she knew how after his surgery and she continues to do so in this episode. I also admire the way the show is handling the ins and outs of a relationship. Many times, couples can't stay happy on a show. They need drama to keep ratings up. The show has given the drama with the pseudo suicide and the now contested chief position. But, at least, the drama is not because of their lack of feelings for each other but more because of that constant internal struggle that we all face when we have to balance career and love, balance our family with new loved ones. Onto Izzie...she's becoming the central figure in two great story arcs. One: her daughter returns and she has to decide whether or not to donate bone marrow and she has to deal with her daughter's refusal to see her. She obviously does and the look on her face when she sees her daughter through the window is heartfelt. It will be interesting to see where they take this throughout this season and future seasons. And, of course, George is there to support her through this. I never saw this relationship coming probably because George has played the part of bumbling, shy guy so well. I never saw the chemistry between him and Caleigh and I always saw him and Izzie as friends. However, with this episode, I see that Knight has the range to show the different depths of George and his own growth as a character. In this episode, he "demands" and actively seeks the truth. It's wonderful to see this and perhaps it is this, and his return to Izzie, that makes me see the chemistry between the two as either friends or more and to see where this character could go. Great episode!!!

I'm really disappointed with the past three Grey's episodes. It's not the same show. The bizarro pairing between Izzie and George didn't work and it's really affecting the show. In addition, Hannah's arrival to the hospital was underwhelming and kind of useless. Izzie didn't get to meet her and it wasn't even a big moment. They've been hyping this now for two years. I was expecting a continuous storyline and I guess I won't get it.

Addison lit up my day though with that last scene with Richard where they're both dancing. She definitely needs her own show.

  • Yet another great episode from the gang at Seatle Grace

    9.9

An absolutley brilliant episode in my opinion. In this episode the fight for chief of surgery continues with Derek desperately wanting it and considering ending his relationship with Meridith to get it. Burke and Christina grow even closer with Burke feeling like her isn't enough for her. I think in this episode we see a completly different side of Christina's character with her trying to make Burke feel more of a man when his ego gets bruised. The main storyline in this episode surrounds Izzie. Izzie gave birth at 16 years old in a trailer park and decided that she wanted more for her daughter than she could offer her throughout the series we have heard a few refferences to Izzies daughter but in this episode Izzie's daughter hannah is admitted to Seatle Grace suffering from Leukemia. Hannah didn't want to meet Izzie but Izzie decided to take a test to see if she was a possible donor match for a bone-marrow transplant that could potentially save her daughters live.

Over all i think this was a brilliant episode the storyline was cleverly done and all the Characters seemed to grow.
  • A good episode.

"Time After Time" probably refers to the theme of the episode, which is one's history. They did a good episode for the theme in my opinion.

Susan continues to act like Meredith’s mother to help her through the death of her mother. Meredith isn't so comfortable with the whole situation so she ends up acting a bit rude towards Susan. This story was OK; I liked the ending bit of this story much better than the beginning and middle.

Meanwhile, Derek is still trying to convince Richard to make him the new chief of surgery. Richard denies Derek most of the time, but when it came down to it, Derek needed the real explanation. It turns out, Ellis Grey asked Richard to look after Meredith, and since Derek and Meredith is a couple, he didn't want the position of chief of surgery to ruin their relationship. I liked this story a lot actually, it wasn't too complicated, yet it brought out a considerable amount of drama.

Other than quarreling with Derek, Richard had bigger fish to fry. Richard attempts to get back in the dating game, since he broke up with his wife and Ellis has passed. Mark hopes to help the chief by showing him the basics of dating. This story was OK for me, it was mostly funny.

The Burke-Christina-Marlow love triangle gets more complicated when they try to duke it out in front of a patient, showing the patient who's the better doctor. It doesn't end there though; Christina acts like a girl and loses the attitude to push Marlow away. In the end, they go through the surgery and Marlow leaves Seattle Grace Hospital. I really liked this story; it was dramatic, yet funny at the same time.

The other love triangle doesn't get quiet when Izzie finds out that her 11-year old daughter needs a bone marrow transplant and she's the only one who can give her the bone marrow. George helps Izzie out through the whole process, leaving Callie being stood-up while waiting for George. This story was overall pretty good.

A family comes to Seattle Grace and takes in Jane Doe as their daughter. Everything matches, the blood type, the picture of their real daughter and the fact that both the daughter of the couple and Jane Doe had their tonsil's removed. Later on though, just when the father was getting close to Jane Doe, the mother tells Karev that she thinks that isn't her daughter, no matter how similar they are. The couple leaves and Jane Doe is left devastated. This has got to be my favorite story of the episode. It was full of drama.
  • Izzie's daughter returns but refuses to see her. Derek is worried that Meredith is getting in the way of him being chief. Christina tries to show Marlowe that she wants to marry Burke and pushes him out of Seattle. jane doe's "family" turns up but leaves.

it was a pretty good episode. more george/callie/izzie problems coming up next week. i really didn't like the fact that george just lied to Callie's face. With Addison and Marlowe not sticking around much longer, I believe the race for cheif is between Burke and Sheperd (and i don't think that meredith is in the way.) i felt soo bad for Eva when her "family" left and she blamed Alex. Cried again. The whole part with Izzie and Hannah was just very emotional. I felt bad for both of them. Anyway cannot wait for next week!!
  • Seattle grace is full of excitement as Izzy's daughter turns up out of no where and the family of Jane Doe (Eva) comes to claim her.

I had been very close to giving up my Thursday night obsession, the last few episodes were so not worthy but Time after Time completely redeemed the show.

George and Izzy finally return to the characters I love them to be, dear friends who are willing to go that extra mile for eachother without being more then friends. Mer is busy dealing with haveing a loving mother for the first time in her life, and a newly distant Derrik who has been told by the chief that we wont have a favorable vote in the chief bid because of this 'happy' life with Mer. Alec's patient "Eva" has her bandages removed and her new face posted everywhere, family shows up to claim her but change their mind half way through, causing Eva to blame Alec. I like them together in a friend kinda way so i'm glad the family wasn't hers. Cristina pours herself all over Burke making her former flame and total ass of a cardiac surgeon jealous enough to leave Seattle grace (yay)

The only problems I had were - Cali (get over it they're friends!) and Derrik (you wanted her now you got her...deal with it!)
  • Normally I absolutly LOVE Grey's, but this episode...ehh.

Maybe it's a reaction to my still being completly repulsed by the fact that George & Izzie slept together & on top of that they're actually having feelings towards each other. It's just sick! They're like brother & sister & the whole thing is just wrong!

I do like how we got to see more of what makes Bailey be Bailey. And how she is the nazi but she is still the mother of them all. I LOVE her & wish they'd show more of her.

Christina & Burke, am I the only one who doesn't get their relationship & thinks it really doesn't work? If you have to act like your relationship is different then it is just to run off your ex...shouldn't that tell you right then that things aren't really all their cracked up to be in the relationship? Pathetic.

I for once actually liked Meredith in this episode, at least for the most part. I like how she was w/ Susan since it's very fitting & telling of her relationship w/ her mom & why her dad didn't fight harder. I like Susan.

Everyone else did well also, but nothing that really stands out except Alex w/ Ava. Which more & more we get to see Alex have a heart. :)
  • Izzie's 11 year of daughter that she gave up for adoption needs a bone marrow transplant, & her and George are still getting over their incident. Marlow thinks Cristina is missing out on something great by marrying Burke. Derek wants to be cheif.

I absolutely loved this episode. it was positively amazing!!

Izzie's story line was great. i would have never expected her to have an 11-year-old daughter. & even after George told her to back off, he still came to her side, proving that even after they've been through so much, they're still best friends. if those two ended up together, it wouldn't be bad (because the best relationships start out best friends) but those two should be best friends forever, no matter what. I did feel really bad for Callie when George forgot about her. This was my favorite storyline throughout the episode.

I also enjoyed the Cristina & Burke storyline. Cristina was playing a game with Marlow the entire time, & it made it seem like she was showing off, which she was, but at the end, she didn't know he was in the room. & what Cristina & Bruke shared then was real. she really does love him. she's sacraficed herself for him, & that's love.

the Meredith & Derek storyline was good too. he wants to be cheif, that's why he came to Seattle Grace. but he loves Meredith, & i like what Dr. Bailey said. you pick the one you love. that's what needs to happen.

Susan is playing mother role to Meredith but she can't stand that and doesn't wants her to be that way and the ugly arguement leads to a revelation.

Derek wants to become a chiefe and Meredith complicates that.

Chief is not in the game and Mark takes him out to a bar to take on some chicks and to get some action.

Jane Doe family shows up but in the end it turned out that they weren't her family. Izzie's daughter that she gave up for adoption comes to the hospital for bone marrow transplant because she has leucemia.

    Super episode really.
