There is a lot of compitations in this episode. We see the struggle between the residents about harvasting organs and we see that it effects some of them more then others. Merediths's kiss was funny and sweet. Derek's reaction was priceless. Throughout this whole episode the compitation between them all grows and it is evident that their friendships don'y play a part in this compititions. Another great installment on the series. We learn a little more about how how the character's inner beings work next episode, which shall take place next week. I'm gonna be really, really lookin foward to the next ep.
  • Dead Baby Bike Race

    9.0
One of my favorite episodes actually.
Meredith tried to avoid her growing attraction to Derek and regrets inviting George and Izzie to live with her. Cristina and Izzie operate on an organ harves patient and George deals with a special friend of the Chief's. The interns go over Burke's head to get in on surgeries and Alex benefits from their sneaking.
Cristina and Meredith bond over being dark and twisty while George and Izzie are happy and shiny. Alex displays more chauvinism and Bailey calls him on being a patient hog.
Meredith gets kissed by one of the Dead Baby Bike Race contestants and Derek gets jealous.
This is the third good episode in a row for this show, something rare and it shows that this show has great promise.
  • Another good episode

So far each episode ive seen is pretty much as good as the one before it. I like how this show keeps it self at such a high standard and im starting to realise why it's so damn popular and im just catching on like 2 years after it started.

An annual death defying bike race brings in a host of patients to the hospital and the main patient of the episode, a brain dead man caused by a crash with the race.

George gets assigned to one of The Cheif's VIP patients who is in need of a liver and appears to be hitting on George. George soon realises that most people think he is gay.

Izzie and Cristina decide they can make the brain dead man's life mean something and harvest his organs. They pull in Meredith & then Georg as they go over Dr Burkes head straight to the Cheif and get him to help save the brain dead man so they can then take his organs.

Geroge organises that a liver be given to his VIP and the brain dead man is harvested after his wife is contacted. The VIP recieves the liver and gets through surgeory without complications.

Meredith has an interesting patient called Viper who plants a big wet one on her while Dr Shepard is watching on. (very ammusing). Meredith tell's Derick that he is only in it for the hunt but he later makes it clear that he actually likes her. He still wont go out ith him but.

Overall a really good episode. Had alot of intresting stories and some great character dvelopment. Im looking forward to seeing how Shepard & Meredith progress, and how Izzie, George & Meredith handle being around each other like 24/7

    This show is so tense
Preston Burke is an amazing cardio-thorastic surgeon.
He is such a good actor (despite his homophobis slurs) Isaiah Washington is a great actor
But out of everyone, Chandra Wilson is the BEST
she is so good at playing the Nazi and she seems like the kind of person who seems very tough but hides her true feelings inside. Chief Webber is very funny.
I think he makes a fine character in playing the chief
Not only do the surgeries make this show so exciting but also the love stories within the hospital
Also, the serious competition between Burke and Shepherd for the place of the chief of surgery is very good.
  • Natural selection. Everything is a competition.

Bike race is in the Seattle and there are a lot of people injured in the hospital. Meredith heals Viper and he kisses her. Derek is so jealous. They have a hard time with one brain dead patient and they want to harvest his organs for transpalntation surgery. Izzie is too emotionally involved and Cristina is having a hard time talking about organ donations. Finally Viper will return with a lot of damage and Bailey will yell at all those bike racers and that scene is hilarious. Finally Meredith will have to try to live together with Izzie and George who are living completely different way then she is.
    An awesome episode.

    great episode

this is one of the best episodes of the series. it featured merideth and the other interns dealing with victims of a deadly bike race. The charactor development was great especially with Yang. Merideth and Dereks storyline moves forward and Izzies John Doe story was a great one. All in All a great episode.

I liked this whole donor thing in the episode... You could see that a doctor's job isn't always easy and that personal feelings might interfere with your job. It was nice to see.
Meredith getting kissed by a patient and Derek who saw that was funny! Especially when they talked about the elevator kiss again and Meredith thought how she thought that Derek thought she was just a challenge to him.
It was even more sweet how Derek said he wasn't seeing her as a challenge but that he really liked her! :)I just love this show more and more each episode!! :D
  • Who wouldn't want to see McDreamy & Meredith together!

    7.9
This was again a painful but well-understanding tearjerker to watch due to several bikers and pedestrains getting hurt
One of the pedestrain has brain damage as the doctors try to search for a donor
And who, I mean who wouldn't want to see McDreamy & Meredith get together
The audience of course are dying and hoping to see those two good-looking people get together!
  • My favourite episode yet.

    9.4
As this sereis goes on I just want to watch it more and more. This great episode follows a bike race of the drunk where the aim is to get hurt.

Viper, who Meredith treats, seems to be a nce guy, its a shame his stomach swelled like that. Loved it when he kissed Meredith, you could just see the jealousy oozing from Derek.

  • Competition, and trying to win the race.

    8.0
A highly competitive, extreme bike race takes place in downtown Seattle, and after just managing to escape it, Bailley and Shepard find a lot of their patients today are riders as well as people injured in the assault.

Izzie and Cristina are given orders to watch and supervise one of the more badly injured pedestrians, a man left for braindead, given six hours before they pull the plug. Thinking it a waste, the two decide he can be an organ donor, and conveniently, match him up to George's parents, someone, who, conveniently, needs a new liver.

George's patient for the day is a black man by the name of Lloyd Mackie. Early on in the episode he's caught smoking, meaning no harm. His inclusion in this episode is easily a highlight, bringing charm in the bucket load. Also interesting is his flirting with George. O 'Malley clearly feels uncomfortable about it, asking everyone he knows if they see him as being gay, in perhaps the funniest moment of this installment, much to his displeasure, his friends don't give him the answer he was expecting. Later on when telling Lloyd his sexuality he reveals his love for Meredith reluctantly, but still manages to bond with his patient in a professional manner. Which was...nice.

The actual organ harvest of this episode was a little unsettling to watch. Intern and viewer alike felt a little disgusted at both the prospect and the graphic nature. It raises an important issue though that many need to be made more aware of, and as it was a central part of the episode, how could anyone complain?

Meredith once again is given a lot more of the duller scenes. Her friction with Dr Shepard continues to dominate this episode, as does her general feelings. Despite being "her" show, sometimes she overstays her welcome and just feels totally unnecessary, coming across as an extra in many of the highlights present in this episode. Her struggle with Izzie and George over good housekeeping however was a definite highlight, AND proved entertaining to watch. It also gave the characters a chance to shine outside of the workplace and allow us to know them a little better, something which of course, is always good.

Slight character development, more entertaining scenes involving George, and a great patient story, all in all, another success.
  • Dangerous games..

    8.6
Oh - it is a some crazy bike race day and it has some sad consequences - a man is hit by a car when tring to get away from the bikes and is left brain dead and Izzie does her best to keep him alive and find a meaning to his death by getting his organs. That process does not come easy and Cristina have to learn to deal with deal with patients families.

So, we have some other storylines too - George has problem with one patient because he thinks patient is flirting with him and Meredith deals with that arrogant male intern.. what ever his name his - who do not care much..
