  • MONSTERS IN PORTLAND

Grimm "Bad Moon Rising" Review: Three Howls for Hank!

What do incestuous coyote-monsters, a bathtub full of animal remains, and pelts gussied-up like a fifth-grade taxidermied diorama have in common? If you need us to tell you then you clearly haven’t been watching Grimm.

  • Episode Summary

Nick helps Hank's old friend track down his daughter and tries to cope with Juliette's amnesia.

    • My first episode of Grimm and it was great

      8.5
This was my first episode of Grimm and I really don't know why but mainly because I have only so much time for TV. That said, Grimm would definitely fit well with my likes of supernatural shows and scifi/horror shows. I don't know what a regular watcher would consider the best episode to start with but this seemed very good. Being a big fan of the classic Universal monsters this werewolf/coyote centered episode with apparently some actual background to it was fun. I still don't know exactly what a "Grimm" is but apparently it is a person with a special ability to detect monsters under the surface of seemingly normal people. Nick seemed perfectly in character for the part and I enjoyed seeing his partner and what apparently had happened to him in previous episodes. The story line was quite intriguing and moved at a nice pace. The way the detectives tracked down what was going on was actually quite realistic but fit perfectly into the story. All said, I'll be back for more based on this episode.moreless

Bad Moon Rising was a phenomenal episode of Grimm. I really enjoyed watching because the character and plot development was in depth and very welcomed. The guest cast was amazing! The story was intriguing and the Wesen involved were cool in their own way and very well thought out. I imagine the scenario they had planned and how they treated Carly would be a terrifying experience. Hank dealing with his issues in the beginning only to be redeemed by the end of the episode knowing he isn't crazy was great! I liked how Juliette remembers just about every thing and every one except for Nick. I look forward to watching more episodes!!!!!!!!!moreless

      • Nick: These look like fertility symbols. You have any idea what that means?
Monroe: Uhh, well, Nick, when a mommy coyotl and a daddy coyotl love each other very much...
        Nick: Okay.

      • Wu: Hey. So, let me get this straight. In the last six hours you've arrested six villains, saved a damsel in distress, and reunited a family, while I've filled out three dozen overtime reports and scrubbed out the coffeemaker. Yeah, we've all put in a rich, full day.
