  • great episode

Recently re-watched this on Blu ray and still love it. After getting the crap kicked out of him by an ogre Nick has to place his trust in and depend on Monroe to save Hanks life. Monroe does this very effectively but not without briefly geeking out about the contents of Aunt Marie's trailer, most especially the ogre/elephant gun. The best scene was Monroe shooting said ogre gun and getting knocked on his ass!moreless
  • Just about pulls it off

This episode just about passes the successful mark due to some great emotional scenes following Nick's attack by the big bad of the week. It was great to see nick's girlfriend breakdown crying after his attack. Not only this but Monroe again shines big time in his quest to help Nick save his partner. Plus its great to not know how to feel about the captain at this point in the season as he shows his good side in this episode, which gave him more depth.

Good character progression aswell. All around a good, solid episode.moreless
  • Wow just wow

I loved this episode. Loved how Monroe helped saving Hank when Nick couldn't because he was in the hospital.

And I love the Captain. Knowing he is the big bad just makes for a that much more interesting character. I really hope it will take a long long long time before Nick finds out because I really love the character and I want to know what his story is and want him in the show. He seems to genuinely care and like Nick which makes him so much more interesting than the average bad guy who's just evil. He's fast becoming a contender for best character in the show after Monroe.

This was the best episode until now. Hope we get a lot more.moreless
  • It just keeps getting better...

Sometimes, cop-oriented shows end up being too formulaic and after a while, it get to be just the same-old-same-old. That is one trap Grimm seems to be trying to avoid - and tonight they did a great job of it. Our hero gets beat to a pulp and is resigned to a hospital bed for half of the episode? His life saved by his quick thinking non-law-enforcement girlfriend? Learning the partner he has to trust falsified evidence? Hank getting saved by the not-so-big, definitely-not-bad werewolf? I loved that we got to see more of the captain tonight - I'm SO wanting to learn what his story is - WHAT he is - and since he knows Nick is a Grimm, what's he going to do about the very old and rather unique ballistics that came from the ogre's body?

I was kind of surprised the other day to discover that there are still more than 10 episodes to go for the season - having gotten rather used to the shorter cable seasons - and if Grimm keeps being as good as it has been so far, I'll be looking forward to every one of them :)moreless
  • Great episode

I loved this episode! I've been waiting for them to have some kind of interaction with Hank and Manroe and this was a nice starting point. I liked the trust that nick showed he had with Manroe, telling him about the trailer. This was a really fast paced and intresting episode, I can't wait for the next one!
