Another absolute classic in the series. Lilly getting drunk on cider was just absolutely hysterical. Everything that came out of her mouth was just perfection. I really commend the writers and Lynsey Bartilson. The idea of a 11 year old getting a 16 year old drunk and then ending up making out with her was just hilarious.

Even though Lynsey did steal the show, the main plot was really entertaining. With Sean stealing Claudia book because she had a sex dream about Eddie and she takes off her wedding ring at work. The director did a really good job with the dream. It wasn't cliche and it was actually a realistic depiction of someone's dream. It also tied together fabulously, not to mention it had a great backdrop with Henry dipping everything in syrup which was also quite. Everyone had a chance at the spotlight here, and everyone shined amazingly. Perfect episode.moreless

This episode was one of the funniest yet! The plot line with Lily getting drunk off the apple cider was soooo funny! The same day I watched the episode, my friend told me she was getting drunk off old apple cider. Talk about life imitating art! And then Eddie scaring off the boy who came over to see Lily because Eddie thought he got her drunk...classic! Sean's reaction to Claudia's dream was also great. What a great episode!moreless

  • QUOTES (3)

    • (Walt pours some Apple Cider for himself and Henry)
      Henry: This tastes funny.
      Walt: Whoa! This cider's turned
      Henry: Turned into what?
      Walt: Into grown up cider.
      Henry: I don't like it.
Walt: Well that's good because we have a family history of liking it.

    • To guy he just found with a drunk Lily
Eddie: Let me ask you something, you got an active mind. What do you think it would feel like to get hit with a tire iron 40-50 times?

    • Walt: You gotta learn to control your frustrations.
Sean: This from the man who spent half his life screaming at appliances.
Walt: I was hoping for more from you.

  • NOTES (2)

    • Tag scene: Sean and Claudia are upset to find a hung over Lily, and Jimmy has a hickey. Walt tells them how dumb Sean and Claudia are for letting this happen, but Sean tells him that he was babysitting them last night.

    • Although this originally aired as a second season episode, it's included on the first season DVD set, as it was originally shot during season one.

  • ALLUSIONS (3)

    • Henry explains his dream of killing Sean and marrying Claudia

This is an allusion to the story of Oedipus Rex. He killed his father and married his mother, and Freud used the story to name his Oedipus Complex.

    • Eddie: I have always been overwhelmed by its beauty

In Claudia's dream, when Eddie sees a plastic bag in the wind, he claims he has always been overwhelmed by it's beauty, a reference to a similar scene in the movie "American Beauty"

    • Dream On: Title

The name of this episode is derived from the Aerosmith song of the same name.
