Not the best episode of the series, but it wasn't bad at all. In fact it contained one of the most classic scenes of Grounded for Life, and that is Lilly getting her tongue pierced which remains on ABC Family promos and the theme song for quite some time. Not only that, we got a new theme song in this episode and it was very impressive. Although I did feel like this episode was lacking in character interactions, and it simply didn't wrap up the story like it usually does, it was still a good episode. I think this was one of the few times this show has done something like when one character exaggerates the story. Jimmy running around on top of trees? If you were to get an exaggeration, at least make it realistic like Lilly and the concession stand guy when she thinks he called her fat, obviously exaggerated, but realistic, not to mention it was hilarious. This exaggeration simply wasn't the case. The family ending up on the Jersey Shore as predicted was absolutely hilarious. Good episode of Grounded for Life, but with some minor flaws.moreless

    • (about getting her tongue pierced)
Lily: They were making fun of me. I had to make myself cool again.
Walt: Well, why stop with your tongue? Put a bolt through your neck, you'll be queen of the prom.

    • Sean: Hey buddy, we had a rule in this house, okay? We don't eat from the garbage.
Henry: You never told me about that.
Claudia: We-we didn't think we had to, honey. It's-it's like drinking out of the toilet.
      Henry: Oh, great. Another rule.

    • Jimmy running across the top of trees during fight

Jimmy's fighting and flying ability is a reference to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

    • Eddie: This is how Steven Seagal would do it. This land belongs to the Eskimos..

This is a reference to the movie On Deadly Ground in which Seagal is fighting against an oil company from building on land that rightfully belongs to the Eskimos.
