The plot follows a mysterious warrior named Guin with no memory of his past as he travels through a world of myth and Magic together with two Royal twins and a young mercenary in search of his past.
The plot and setting remind me greatly of Scrapped Princess and Utawarerumono sharing many of the same elements that made those shows so good.
The animation is great (arguably some of the best I have seen this season) and the plot is perfectly pitched to keep you interested and pull you along with out being confusing. This is a great show and although I am sure it won't appeal to everyone it is certainly becoming a favourite of mine.moreless

Guin Saga is based on the Manga of the same name by Kaoru Kurimoto. Following an invasion by the ruthless Mongauli Army the Royal twins Remus and Rinda are forced to flee their own country in order to survive. Whilst being pursued by the enemy the young siblings encounter a strange and powerful leopard-headed warrior called Guin, who has lost all memories of his past life. Guin decides to protect the twins from their dangerous enemies whilst also searching for clues to his past. Along the way the strange trio are joined by an ambitious mercenary called Istvan and a friendly Sem monkey called Suni and together they will lead armies, topple countries and forever change their world.
