    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • When Toadie and Duke Igthorn are washed out of the tunnel, they pop out near a pond and land in the water when they should have popped out of the entrance to the tunnel in the woods.

    • QUOTES (11)

      • Gregor: Willard, there's a rat in the roayl bed.
Willard: Don't be so hard on yourself sire.
Gregor: I mean under the bed, you fool.

      • Sunni: Phew! What stinks?
        Tummi & Cubbi: Skunkweed stew.
Sunni: Yuck! That stuff is powerful!
Grammi: Drat. My dinner will be ruined if I don't get this flue fixed.
Sunni: I think it's your cooking that needs to be fixed.

      • Sunni: This old place has had it. Why don't we find somewhere else to live?
Gruffi: Listen, Sweetie. For over five hundred years this has been the Gummies home and it always will be.
Sunni: (walking off) Not if I have something to say about it. (a board pops up and whacks her in the rear)
        Gruffi: End of discussion.

      • Toadie: He said I had courage. No more will valiant Toadie be doormat, I will demand to be footstool instead!

      • Igthorn: Say your prayers, hero. You've just swashed your last buckle.

      • Igthorn: Well, well. If it isn't that meddlesome little troublemaker. (picks up Toadie and takes off the mask) Toadwart? You're the Crimson Avenger?
Toadie: Me? No, never heard of him!
Igthorn: Then why are you wearing these preposterous rags?
Toadie: Fear not, oh forgiving one. Masquerading Toadie would never bean Dukie with sausage. Never-never.

      • Toadie: This is red letter day for life-of-the-party Toadie.

      • Igthorn: You're nothing but a pathetic worthless miserable little worm!
Toadie: What are you trying to say, your gracefullness?
        Igthorn: You're through!
(Toadie is sent flying by catapult out of Igthorn's castle)

      • Toadie: Up and coming Toadie will be right behind dear Dukie as we boldy venutre forth into Dunwyn and triumphantly claim our rightful rewards!
(Toadie digs into the moat and floods them out of the tunnel)
        Igthorn: You idiot!

      • Igthorn: Aren't you finished yet, Toadwart?
        Toadie: Patience, oh demanding one.

      • Gruffi: What are you doing in that outfit? (Cubbi stammers) Look, kid. Pretending to be this Crimson Avenger fellow is dangerous.
        Cubbi: Pretending?!
Gruffi: Yeah, a costumed clown is always getting into trouble and if there's one thing we don't need is you getting into any more. Case closed.

    • ALLUSIONS (2)

      • Willard

The name of the Dunwyn rat exterminator is Willard which is the main character in the 1971 movie Willard in which the lead character plays the part of a rat exterminator and saves the rats to do his will.

      • The Wizard of Oz

The episode title is an allusion to a line in The Wizard of Oz where Dorothy repeats "There's no place like Home".
