    Sure.

If you recall TV Tome used bb code. bb code was used to make sure the webmaster could make sure nothing bad was done.

Here is how I did it:

    [url]Link goes here [/url]

doing this [/url] ends the code to make the link active.

that link thing just doesn't work for me.

it used to work at tv tome.
last month when i tried it, it didn't turn into a link,
but at least it printed out the url.
now when i try it, it's just invisible.

could it be possible only moderators allowed to do it here in tv.com?

can someone else please try it & see if it works for you? : )

It worked for me; I just "copied" the link and then pasted it into the URL "Address" block and hit enter. Here it is again:

the user above you was talking about making the link active.

To be able to post a link you need to be at level three or higher.

Oh; sorry - didn't read carefully enough. This is all too high tech for someone like me, but good luck.

Sweat Hog is from welcome back kotter. The reason [url] link goes here[/url] didn't work is because the tv.com staff thought that people at higher could only post links as away of helping clear the backlog.

You will be able to post links with bb code at level 3 then it should work for you. I asked the question so I could better explain why that didn't work.

it's interesting that a Level 1 person is a Weatherman,
whereas a Level 2 person is a Sweat Hog.
    now there's logic for you.

what do we need to do to get to Level 3--
    get dragged from a horse?
bathe in Festus' used bath water?
watch 20 Newly episodes without falling asleep?

i could never bring myself to watch a whole Newly episode,
but Buck Taylor has actually become a pretty cool dude
in his later years. check him out in Tombstone.
hey, can you believe that's the same Kurt Russell
who played the kid in Blue Heaven?! : )
and i keep spotting his father Bing Russell in smaller roles
in all sorts of tv westerns. Bing Russell was a great guy
who owned a baseball team and whose motto was the word 'fun.'
i'd give you an active link to a nice bio of him at imdb,
    but i'm just a lowly ranchhand and i ain't allowed. ; )
and i ain't lookin' forward to diggin' more postholes, neither. : )

hey, stay positive, Dodgehouse, don't get distracted by the trash,
    and keep watchin' them westerns!

I like Newly and so does my daughter. I guess we agree to disagree on our own likes and dislikes.

Looking at one of the pictures on his website, he sure has aged a lot.
